Any way to police there being no head porting allowed in street stock? What about CIs?

Just pull a header or maybe a intake... I know port work whe I see it.

Cubic inches can be policed with a P&G gage. Most of the time that will catch any over 5 cubic inches.

To be honest I forgot the exhaust. The Street Stock classes must have full exhaust exiting behind the rear wheels.

All other classes must be muffled. Header mufflers OK.

Modified Street...400 ci max. (no big blocks), 3400lbs min. Any tire 10.5 sidewall designation on slicks.... 11.5 sidewall max. designation on DOT (ET Street, Quicktime pros etc.)
No power adders
factory and aftermarket ported heads ok
Any cam
Any factory type trans

Modified Street Automatic... Same as above but with any auto trans. No trans brakes. If trans brake is installed the solinoid must be disconnected.

Perfect class for me. I won't need to strip my car to the bone to compete in one class or change my tranny (th350) to compete in another I won't need to go on a diet either Thanks Joe, I'm going to eat a sandwich now Maybe 2.

I just added Modified Street Power Adder. That give's the heavier PA cars a class.

I'm undecided about the Outlaw class... Don't know how many cars around the country fit.

Hey what about my 87 IROC in street stock?
I cant compete with an LS1 with stock heads and only a cam. Especially at 3500 pounds.

Madman these are some rules that I'm just throwing around to see what shakes out. It's a work in progress. It's not a race yet but it could be if there's enough interest.

After being inspired by Bob Cosby I seperated the auto/stick cars in the first two classes. Th Pro and outlaw classes have transbrakes and aftermarket trans so that should even them up.

Thanks Bob.

Sounds like fun to me. I like the idea of separating the sticks and autos for the slower classes.

You think exhaust of some sort should be required on the Street Stock classes at least?

...And of course there would be a bracket race too I assume?

Hell, if there's racing I'll be there. Just don't forget about us lowly bracket guys.

Trevor how could I have forgot??? Of course there would be a bracket race. It might be formated as a open comp type race running off a 5 tenths pro tree simular to the NSCA.

I really like the idea. But us power adder cars don't have much choices

how bout a Heavy (3600 race weight) power adder street car challenge? Thats just an idea but i know you can't have a class for everyone. Heck I'd be just happy to come run and see all you guys there. I've been waiting on something i could just show off the car and run it.

When I added that class I thought it might be a little light for the supercharged and turbocharged cars due to the added weght of the hardware. Plus they are a lot of power adder cars out there that are full weight due to the fact they never had to lighten their cars up, they just added hp. Let be do a little reshearch and I'll get back to you.
