Default 2 hurt cylinders

Just curious if anyone's hurt any cylinders at the track and saw how much it slowed down.. ya odd question but my car was running really good last fall, and on one of the passes it hurt 3 valves ( lost 110 psi in cylinders #4 and #8, the rest were at 240).

I'm about to go back out Soon but was just curious as to how much power/ et could be picked back up. It was running 6.70s na and went all the way up to an 7.40 when it **** the 3 valves 2 were intake valves ,1 exhaust)..

Is it possible to lose 7 tenths in the eighth just with 2 cylinders down 110 psi from the others?

Thanks for any input.

I'll know the answer to this question Sunday or sometime next week. My car has felt down for a while, but I also made a gear change before the last time I went to the track (which should have picked it up, but seemed to go the opposite way) so I don't know for sure.

Cool, I'm just curious if anyone has burned /bent a valve, piston rings etc and fixed it and seen what it picked up. This is on a combo that I just got together (same motor ) but all new suspension trans converter etc and I have very little seat time in it and was curious Is all.

Gonna try to go out to lapeer Saturday or Sunday hoping the weather holds out

My buddy went 10.6s in his heads cam ls1. He did some small changes, went lean on 7, put a hole in it, and went 10.8's. Street drove it 50 miles after that having no clue other than oil pushing out of valve covers.

Interesting. I might have another issue some where then. Was that cylinder still lighting off ? A buddies 400 blew a ring land and had zero compression in that hole and went from 11.90s to 12.60s.

Thanks for the input sweetbmx

Seems to me if you hurt the motor you should expect it to go slower.

Yes no doubt. But slowing down a whole 7 tenths to the eighth? I just don't see it but we'll see. . Was going to go out this weekend but we got poured on here in Michigan Saturday and it was cloudy and wet all day today.

Thanks for the input sweetbmx
Ya I think the cylinder was still firing, it ran pretty damn good for having a hole in the piston. I don't remember the leakdown but it was definitely over 50%, probably a lot worse

Damn ls1s.....
