Default Belt routing with "Race" electric water pump

Hey, how are you guys running your belts with "race" versions of EWP that don't have the middle pulley?

I feel dumb asking, but I cant find anything when I search. Plenty comes up for the street versions, but not the race versions.

Thank you!!

Race means race, so what all are you trying to spin?
usually folks just run the alternator after moving it down low.
hope you are not trying to run power steering and stuff.

More weekend warrior.... not daily driver, but yes looking to run accessories. They are rated for street or strip according to manufacturer regardless of being called “race” version...

What about using an adjustable bracket on the alternator and then routing the belts like one of these? Obviously could run into belt clearance issues...

I think most people with that pump only have an alternator to run off the crank pulley with a short belt and a alternator adjustable bracket. Mine is a bmr bracket.

All these diagrams go crank then over tensioner. Go crank, alt, ps, under tensioner, back to crank. Second one is close. Stock alt bracket will work just needs countersunk on one bolt and a correct size flat head bolt. No aftermarket brackets necessary just put it all on and roll belt on the crank like you’re turning the engine over

Call Dave Meziere. they have blems for sale. I got one for $585
You will spend the same amount trying to get a pulley system to work without a water pump pulley.

No he won't. It costs a belt if you right size the belt and run it like the diagram i quoted. If you do away with that last idler it would still only cost a belt but the jegs adjustable alt bracket makes it much nicer to remove or install the belt.

I just run an alternator with jegs manual adjustable bracket.

If your keeping all your accessories use the street pump with idler pulley. ...

It frees up power shortening that belt and loses parasitic drag. Reduces overall weight too.

Put a bmr adjustable alternator bracket on, run a shirt belt from the crank to the alternator. Done nothing else needed.... and if you do need something else run what you have to.

The jegs one is identical to the bmr.
