In a 6-speed probably
In an auto probably not. Depending on the setup.

You will gain ET with some sticky tires but you wont gain MPH. Well at least I didn't.

I have 4.10s and can't give a gain but I trap at 112 and shifting at 6K I go thru right at 6100.There has to be maybe a tenth or two keeping the motor in the powerband, plus the with the 3.42s I could eat a sandwich between shifts.

I gained 4mph from 3.42s to 4.10s. This is contingent on traction. If you dont have it you wont gain.

I think the more cam you run, the more difference you'll notice in mph. It will catapult you into your powerband quicker and keep you there. I agree with the ET streets statement, any gains in ET will only be seriously recognized with slicks, and possibly a good drag radial (BFG). I wouldn't expect to gain much MPH on street tires especially, because you'll find yourself feathering the gas to get a decent 60'. However, its a worthy mod if you visit the track alot and run slicks.. That and it makes the car about 19x more fun to drive

Peace,
Josh
