I have a cam only car in austalia, its like a 4door version of the gto we shipped to the USA. We have had 3 cams in it now.
2nd cam
232/234 112 lsa off the shelf comp, 918 springs, 5000 stall, 3.9 gears, ls6 manifold with 1200cfm t/b, 1 7/8 longtube pipes,
235/60/15 mt radials, 3600 with driver. made 371 rwhp.
11.55 @117.28 with a 1.594 60ft.
3rd cam
ms4, setup unchanged except 921 springs, made 395 rwhp and 399 rwhp with a fast 90/90.(the increase was not just top end either) we were impressed with the dyno result.....24rwhp going from a good size cam to a big cam.....but
11.49 @118.14 with a 1.593 60ft. (in slightly better weather)
we thought maybe the big stick needed a hand so 4.11 gears and a very tight 6000 stall were fitted.
11.38 @119.08 with a 1.541 60ft
The MS4 showed great numbers on the dyno but at the track....not that impressed.
will try another stick soon. big hp doesn't mean big mph!

I went 7.68 with a 1.68 60ft. Only other mods are ls6 intake, LT's, TD's,P&P Throttle body. I have a six speed inc. rebuilt tranny with Spec 3 clutch, and billet steel flywheel. This was with prostarts all around, and I was on M/T slicks. 26x10's. Leaving at around 5k dump. Also with a slipping Aurburn posi unit in my 9". Oh yeah 3.90 gears.
Should be good for mid 11's I figure?

Yep, stock rear and 3.42 gear. Car went an 8.10 @89.95 with just lid and LTs making 341 and 358tq back in the fall. Now it is making alot more power, and weighs about 150lbs less, and that was on street tires, I will have the ET streets on Friday, but the heat will be the killer. If I break the 10bolt, just gives me a good reason to get a Moser 9" and a 4.11.

I got a feeling you WILL break the 10 bolt. I went a 8.12 before I installed the cam, and the best i could get out of mine was 7.68. That was with a 4500K clutch dump on slicks(1.68 short time). Still spinning a bit(need more suspension). I think with the weight reduction you can hit 7.50's! I think maybe I can get 7.30's-7.40's when it gets cooler. Oh yeah those times where when it was about 90 degrees, and very humid.
