Finished the passenger side tub today, what a nightmare I had to pull the tub out to trim it and that was no easy chore.

Just the drivers side tub to go tomorrow and finish the rear trunk floor, I am also going to section the trans tunnel and get a little more clearance before I send the welder back, stuck the back seats in it. LOL looks funny as hell the tubs go as high as the rear seat.

40" Tubs look huge.

My mini tub kit should be here any day. Bad news is I don't get to cut as much material as you did. Did you post the finished pics?

No, I have to weld a couple more things, and I ran out of gas and they are not open till Monday, but the tubs are in and all I have to do is weld on the gas tank tube and cap and two pieces in the trunk on the sides.

I am going to take more photos but I haven't finished it but I guess I can take some tomorrow then post them.

Tubs look awesome, I painted one to see what it would look like if I powder coated it and it stands out too much so I and going to cover them with the same carpet I am covering the floor with so it doesn't stand out so much, then I have the fun task of trimming the plastic to fit over the lil 40" tubs, that will be fun I bet, but I put the back seat in it and it looks funny, two BIG *** tubs right next to you.

I'll snap some photos off tomorrow.

Did you buy a kit or tubs?

Take a lot of time to look at it, because 99% of the people install the kits like they show in the photos and like I did just by tilting the tub forward like 1" it covers the entire wheel well from the body to trunk. While countless people i see use the wolfe kit for our cars install them and have to run a second piece on the bottom of the wheel well and it just doesn't look as good.

Oh I removed the factory spring seats they had to weigh 1 pound together so more weight off LOL.

BTW those aluminum tubs even though they are 40"s are light.

Thanks Kyle, I may have to take you up on that.

-Anywho, got more pics coming As far as the motor goes:
- Dropped Callies Crank into place, ARP main studs are torqued 3x
- Installed:
** Diamond Pistons , ARP rod bolts are torqued 3x
** .060 Oil Restricters
** Wheel 2 Wheel Cam is in, degreed - as far as I can tell its within 1/2 of a degree
** Soaked the Crower Solid Lifters and dropped them in
** Timing chain(s) with tensioner
** Oil pump centered and installed
- Chased/Cleaned:
** Head stud holes
** Deck
- Ream'd out the Cometic head gasket holes for the larger studs
Installed:
** O-ring last night on both sides of the motor
** All (46) Head studs
** Copper sprayed driver side head gasket
** Water plugs

Got the driver side head on and all the bolts are torqued to either 20/15 ft-lbs, hopefully tomorrow I can mock up the valvetrain on one side to get the correct pushrod lengths so the machine shop can make them this week before the holiday crunch.

I have a lot of pics but don't have time to put them up tonight. Basically I got the mini tub started on the passenger side and the pushrods measured. I ordered some smith brothers 8.700 .170 wall custom pushrods to finish up the engine. Started looking at the lifters tonight and may have found a problem with the link bar but I won't know for sure until this weekend.

looks good phil. Wish I knew you needed a co2 bottle. I have an almost brand new co2 cylinder and the same mount I would of gave you a good deal on.
