Slowly working to fix some small issues. Had a crack in the valve cover where I clearanced it for the EGTs, welded it on the inside and its solid now. Cleaned the turbo, IC pipes, IC and exahust pipes. Got the tires sent off to get swapped, raised the rear to change the angle of attack on the LCAs. UPS dropped off the new seals from Jesel. Hopefully I can get the motor back together tomorrow with alittle luck.

Probably not testing tomorrow, working through a couple small bugs...
For some reason I had an issue with puking oil out of the compressor and turbine. Turbo is as low as you can get it without hitting the ground. I think its got 3.5-4" of ground clearance...
- At first it drained to the pan.... still puked
- changed it so it was T'd into the dry sump, T'd to the 1st stage, 1st section of the pan... still puked
- Capped off the 1st section of the pan and hooked the turbo straight to the dry sump..still puked
- Made a 4" x 6" tank that the turbo drained into, drains into the middle of the tank, dry sump sucks at the bottom of the tank... that seems to fix the problem
Fired the motor up and sprayed some brake cleaner into the turbo, got the oil out and housing clean. The turbo compressor is rotated out of the IC pipes and blowing straight down, so far no oil. tried it with RPMs at 1000,2000, 4000-5000 blipping it.
Working on changing the rear control arms so the car needs to be rescaled and cleaned.

What type of check valve are you running and you were refering to the drain line, right? Thanks and just to make sure is this still going to work on a low mounted turbo? Trying to decide if I have to buy a scavenger pump or not.

Got all the brackets/fab work done. Just need to button up some small stuff. The vacuum pump took crankcase pressure from 2# to 10-12" of vaccum at idle, vaccum goes up to 15-18" at 2000rpms. Going to rescale the car thursday and hopefully take it out to shake it down friday or sunday.

Glad to hear the vacuum pump worked out for you, I'm actually surprised you never had one before. I'm sure you'll find a bit of power there as well as helping with the ring seal.
Hope to see more hits soon!
