Test this weekend means no Yellow Bullet Nationals?!?! If not racing, are you attending to spectate?

Had a run of bad luck over the last month. Still working trying to resolve some mystery problems. I am off for the WCF, just need to figure out the staging problem.

I almost feel like this year there is a higher power that is keeping me from racing. I have had setback after setback, from parts breaking to the most random ****, its just got me racking my brain whats going on. This year fighting the electrical issues to parts failures its just been a mentally taxing 8 months. I am hoping a new crank trigger and some other small new replacement parts will get me back on the right track.

I ordered some parts today to hopefully resolve the staging issue. Right now the car is very inconsistent trying to build boost. One minute, it gets on the chip in maybe 2 seconds and will make 10psi. 30 minutes later, the motor acts like it is struggling to get past 3500rpms. I have talked to all of the heavy hitters in the promag44 area and no one has a definitive answer on what could be causing it. Whatever is going on it started when I put the promag44 on.

My gut feeling is I am getting an erratic RPM signal from the crank trigger. That in my mind is the only thing that make it do what its doing.

I did switch the turbine housing out to a massaged 1.50 in an attempt to slow down how fast the boost will come in.

Phil check with electrimotion for the very best crank triger. It has the best sheilding for the promag 44 set up. Also very knowledgeable people when it comes to the 44 mag. I got more info from them than I ever did from MSD.

I called them a few times last week and no return call. I called Spud yesterday and got one of his crank triggers.

Just a thought, and I don't know how much trouble it would be but, have you thought about putting the old ignition back on it to see if that alleviated the problem. May be able to rule something out.

I'm 100% positive if I put the old ignition on the problem goes away.

Phil, Ive read your whole build a few times, and never realized that Port Tobacco MD is right below La Plata (I'm new to MD). I'm right up the road in Waldorf, off of Smallwood, if you ever need a hand with anything, or want to grab a beer, let me know. I'm an ME, and although I don't know much about turbo LS Mustangs other than what you've put in this thread, I'm not worthless when it comes to troubleshooting.

Also subscribing finally.
