Default 6 speed suspension setups, whats everyone got

well i have all winter to decide what im doing to the car, i plan on doing suspension and a rear end, and finish up the motor mods, it will be on the jug next year. car makes 505 at the wheels now, and it will see a big hit.

just curious to what everyone has suspension wise, how its set up, tire size, their power level, and what their 60fts are with the six speed.

vids to go along too would be ****, i love watchin 6 speeds gettin it down the track, i would like to see how the cars leave, how hard you guys are hitting the tires, ect. just want to try to make my car right the first time

i seen in some other threads guys going 1.4s, seen the thread where taner went 1.35 before his clutch decided to end its life down milan dragway. just want to know how you guys are doing it

Talking

Not that nobody wants to share, I think the cooler weather has most brains hanging up here. I'm kinda wondering the same and have been taking steps backwards since I put a 1.45 60ft down the same piece of track that taners clutch committed suicide in.

I had a Moser 12 bolt with 4.56 pro gears and Spohn Chromo tq arm, Strange shocks, stock springs and NO blowproof bellhousing. I still had a stock sway bar with a short sleeve on the driver side. 28 12.50 15 ET Streets that were bout done, 15X10 Bogart Force5s, Spek stg4 clutch driving a Liberty preped T-56. H/C 346 with 440 RWHP?

New setup is Moser 9in, spool, 4.56 street gear, BMR extreme CroMo arm, McCloud bell. Same motor, same everything else. Thinking I might move the floor down more so I can push the gas petal down further.

Milan is still open right? one more saturday? Hope the weather holds and lets me run one more trip down there.

Any other thoughts? Not hijacking just want more info on hooking a stick car.

good to see you guys hitting 1.4 60fts. shows i have a lot to cut off of my 60ft, cause im only hitting mid 1.8s if im lucky riding the clutch out on nittos and stock everything with my 402.

just trying to see what works with everybody for gettin it to hook.

[QUOTE=JDP;8065497]naa, today was last day at milan. no more racing for the year

I called them on Friday 11/2 and the girl I talked to said "next 2 saturdays 11AM to 6PM"

I'll call before I load up though...Maybe US-41 Morocco, Ind on Sunday. Good track prep but somewhat rundown facilities and NO rollbar police.

11.20 and your car only 60fts mid 1.8's? How much mph are you running, that thing must pull on the big end to run that.

its on stock everything, all the way down the the pads and rotors, lol (gotta change those over winter) i still have a few motor mods to do, it should get the mph a little more, and i need to put a rear end in with a gear for sure, and do the suspension, and i should be running in the 10s decently. then the bottle comes after all of that

We decided it was time to build our own. Doing 3-5 engines per year why pay someone when you can do it yourself

Ya'll do the machine work and everything? Spinning 9K+ RPMs, that's impressive if you do it all yourself, being a transmission shop and whatnot.

If you ran 126 mph you can run 10's easy, you only need about 119-120 mph to break in the 10's.

Put a good rear end in that thing and leave on the limiter =) that thing will leave.

You might want to upgrade your trans. To cut those low 60' your at least gonna need viper output shaft. Now your driveshaft is next, something other than stock. Now your rear is a bomb waiting to explode, i'd recommend a 9". I'm surprized that with that power you have you haven't ran into these problems already.

Heres what I have; Trans, everything that they make for it except g-force gears and proshifted. Clutch, Ram 402/610 (410/602 I forget which way it is) setup. Driveshaft, I went steel with 1350 yokes on both ends. Rear, 9" w/ spool and 35 spline axles. TA, PerformanceAutoFabrication( new sponsor >>>>>>>>). BMR adj. race lca's, sfc's, relocation brackets, and panhard bar. my best 60' is a 1.35 leaving at 6k on 26" et drags.
