Default Got my 1st set of M/T dr's

Finally. I honestly couldn't pass up the deal. They had 18 miles on em and I gave $150 for the set, they look almost new. So they will get mounted up this evening. I drive the car a couple of times a week 15 miles round trip, what tire psi do you guys run on the street? Is it safe to keep em at around 20-22? Just trying to do a lil homework to see if I can get em to work for me.

I'd put 30psi in them for driving around and see how the hook is...Go down from there if necessary.

They'll probably still stick like mad at that psi once warmed up on the street

I also run mine at 30 psi for street driving. Be careful if you get caught out in the rain!

Thanks guys, I'll try that. I guess most of it it trial and error any way. Thanks for the warning about the reain. I kinda already had that feeling about them but I honestly try to avoid driving in the rain anyway.

x2. I had to slow down to almost 35 mph on the highway, and I still almost put my car into the gaurd rail a few times. It felt like the rearend of my car wasn't connected and it wanted to drive right out from under me.

Yeah, I put 26psi in them. They seem to do really good from a roll but I can still burn em if I bring it out from a stop.

I might try playing with the psi a lil and see what happens. I want them to wear even but I also don't want them to start feeling like bias tires on the road either.

I don't run over 25 psi on the street with my 275 60 R15s...You'll wear the centers out real fast with too much air on the street...I check the wear with my daughter's driveway chalk...I run a chalk line across the tread and drive it down the street and check how the chalk wears and adjust the psi accordingly...

watch how the tires wear down if u dont have the right psi - you'll notice it quick and if ur not on top of it u could be too late!!! my first set went fast!!

i use 22psi all the time. the only street miles they usually see is to the track and car meets. They definately suck in the rain. i was in 5th gear going 50mph once, stepped on the gas a lil and it went sideways, i am not bullshitting you. Do not do dry burnouts with those tires, not even a little one for they will get torn up very quickly. i found that out the hard way with my first pair..

Thanks, I'll keep all of this in mind. I'll adjust my psi quick.

I haven't had mine very long. And it's been long enough to know that I'll never run anything else! Been caught in the rain once. I pray it never happens again. It IS a whole lot more fun being able to use the gas pedal on the street now. Can't waight to get them to the track in the spring so I can finally get a decent 60' and maybe an 11.9X. Have fun with them.

Yeah, I know that's why for $150pr I couldn't let em go. Actually my boss bought em for me, I have to pay him back.
