Haha good to hear Jr but the black SS has a best of 1.25 on a non pro radial so far . Wish Midwest chassis supplied fox suspension pieces too!

After I make some progress I'm sure I'll get one going.

little better pic when the rims were black. color looks a lot more like this than the pale green too. i'm thinking white when the time comes though and B.S. Street Lites....and i've already swapped to a bolt on 2 1/2" cowl cuz i like popping the hood by myself whenever i want to! lol also it's all plane green now. tribute graphics had mostly been removed already and so i took off the remainder.

I'll be watching for a thread. Was thinking about holding off on 383 build and picking up another fox and building a square bore turbo car.I've always built nitros powered cars and have been wanting to do FI.I still like that green

I kinda got the itch to start a turbo build. It would be a blow thru carb setup non inter cooled maybe. I have a stock ls1 short block and some 317 heads laying around. The problem is I think it will only go about 8.50's which is ok. But I'd like to go faster than that.

Ls1 won't like that one bit! LOL go with a 5.3for a lower cost build with a strong block. Or even a 6.0 if you can get one cheap enough. 317's are a great head. Blow through I'm up in the air about. Seems they aren't the greatest for repeatability according to what I've heard....1 pass could be perfect AFR and the next off enough to cost some time. Idk for a fact yet. Have you reweighed the car since you got all the safety equipment and all the updates? Just curious what its at now.

i'd like to be able to run a blow through but need to research it more for sure. My roller already has an A2000 pump and -10 feed to the front which i think should be enough for 1000+rwhp (pump is good to more than i'll ever make).

Yeah, bad info there Dave. I bet a blow thru setup if propperly setup could be real consistent. My na or nitrous runs are with in thousandths back to back. Or hundredths running 9.0's on a 200 shot.

I already have a alm ls1 block in my shed and have everything but rods and pistons. I think I will build something this summer and put it in next winter.

Only reason as far as I was told was something to do with the rate at which it adjusts to boost or something. I really couldn't say and wasnr saying a carb in an n/a or n2o setup would be inconsistant but I will get with some blow through gurus before ruling it out. And I say go for it if you've already got it

From what iv'e been seeing at the tracks is fuel injected FI cars, but i think it's ease of needed quick tune changes.Carberators have come a long way in recent years for the demands required. One example is Pro Systems, now these guys have it going on!.If one decides to go blow through, one must do there home work,as with injection also we know.

I've seen some nasty blow thru setups. If done properly they can be very fast.
A buddy here in town had a 87 grand nat with a 468 ci bbc and a 106 turbo non intercooled pushing threw a 1000cfm csu blow thru carb. It made 1200+ on the dyno with three bad cylinders.
After freshing the motor up it went 8.50 blowing the tires off all down the track lol.
