Default Hoosier Drag Radial vs. Slick life?

What is the difference in life expectancy for comparable size Hooiser drag radials vs. their slicks?

I got:

57 passes and around 300 street miles on a set of QTPs 28x11.5/15
35 passes and 30 street miles on a set of DRs 275/50/15

the DRs were much softer, but hooked way harder...

I'm not sure of the number of passes I have on my QTPs, but they lasted a lot longer then my friend's Hoosier slicks. We had a similar number of passes. I am still using my QTPs and he needs a new set of slicks.

drag radials last at best 1/2 the life of a slick.

What goes first, the tread or the sidewall? From what I have been experiencing with slicks, I kill the sidewalls prior to the tread being used up.

Which hooks better on the street? Drag radial or Quick time pro type tire?

My QTPs hook a lot harder on the street than my BFG DR's. They are an inch taller though, and my car is a 6speed with a 4.30 gear.

Up your tire pressure a few lbs. When slicks where on the outside faster than the inside it's due to, too low of an air pressure. Opisite from what you would think.
