that mustang guy ryan hecoxx sells and knows what Lith battery to use for a race and street car. Say him running them a few years ago. Came way done in price last 5 years.

Abs module weighs 6 lbs not 12 as mentioned. At least mine does. Abs module, bracket, and bolts weigh 7 lbs together

 

today weighted one of the smaller new style gen4 (off a LSA) starter with both long bolts it was 6.4#'s
My older 2001 LS1 gen3 starter (one long one short bolt) was 7.8#.


So about 1.5 pounds lighter and smaller, and shorter = more header room, and oil pan room (LSnext). And eaier to work on overall. I plan I putting it on the car, it should work. Have to change the harness, the "S" terminal. Old is a stud/Oring, New in a wetherpack cip. or I htink you can just change the sol. off the motor.

Lightweight Strange or Aerospace front drag brakes w/Racecraft spindles or Lightweight Percy's drop in front and rear glass? Which would you guys do first?

How long have you had the Shorai? Any issues other than it not liking the cold? I started looking around on various car forums (S2000, Lotus, Miata) and it seems they work great. My car stays in the Houston area so I'm not too concerned about the cold. I also have minimal power accessories since mine is a stripper (Monsoon is the only option) which should help I imagine.

Used this list, and took out around 270 (rounding down) and still see 135 or more to go, while still having a full interior and stock dash with power windows. Have not yet decided on the door bars. Decided against a race brake....because street car. I should be in the 400+ range on saved weight. But considering an 8 point is coming, and the 80e and the Iron block and procharger kit I put in, I basically just cancelled those out. If I had it to do again, idve went TH400

I think itll land in the stock weight area of 3550-3650 with me in it. Then it will start getting into the nitty gritty trying to find more. To get my 8 second run, I will probably forget about weight and just go for more power. I appreciate this list being available either way. Free mods are AOK

 

I did not see anywhere about swapping fat driver with skinny girlfriend easily worth 150lbs right there.
