Bog off the line

Bog off the line
What would cause a slight bog off the line? When launching at about 2400 rpms( holding the brake and gas ) and then mashing the gas, I get this. It feels like max power is not being applied. After about 1 to 2 seconds there is a surge in power and then the car pulls hard through all gears.

Re: Bog off the line
Not enough gear will usually bog a car when it hooks at the track. Also not giving it enough RPMs to compensate for the hook.
Tell us what kind of gears,size tires, mods. U might be running to big of a tire.

- 26x11.5x16 ET Streets
- HD built 4L60E
- 3800 TC
- 3.90:1 gears
- 383 stroker making about 430 rwhp
- Original programming by MMS;
Torque management removed and other changes via LS1Edit
I also disabled Abuse Mode; torque and timing reduction
Power braking I can only get the rpms up to about 2400 to 2600 before I start to creep forward. This was about the same level I could go with the 3200 TC before I got it rebuilt to 3800.

Re: Bog off the line
Well, that just sounds like a peaky torque curve.
The right converter would flatten it out (effective
at the rear wheels) and put you into the powerband.
