I've seen people that make a cover to just convert it from t-top to hard top, never seen a real working t-top that is made from fiber glass.

There's been talk about it before, but nobody has actually done it yet (that I know of). I'm curious to see the weight difference myself. Keep us updated.

If it saves 20 lbs, I'll be the first to jump in line if you'd be willing to make another set (or at least document the process well enough so it could be replicated).

Shon, I dont think there is an aftermarket piece, just a few one off pieces... See Roofer Daves car? the yellow one from W2W, it was a ttop car and ended up with a fiberglass roof...

weigh the two t-tops, then figure 4-5 pounds for a fiber glass piece with some type of latch

Every six months or so this topic comes up. NO ONE has made one todate. Any time.. just make one.. post it up.. otherwise this topic will never go any where. The search (use "fiberglass") does work great.

I've seen a single piece that covers both sides with a single piece, but never actual t-top copies made out of fiber glass or carbon.

i contacted vfn they said they made a one off set a few years ago but none since then...i told them most people have shades on their car and dont even care if their t0tops are glass or not...and occasionally they fly off and people pay 200 for another set...im sure they could make good money off of them....but they said no....id like to make some from lexan personally...it would keep the glass look...just not enough time yet to try it

Chop out the middle and make a solid fiberglass or carbon fiber piece. Targa top style. It's been done a few times. I plan on doing it to my Formula.

a guy with a red trans am did the one piece carbon fiber targa top. hes in the road race forum and he has a website but i cant remember off hand. ill do some research and get back to you guys but i think it was like 500 bucks. also theres a ugly purple camaro that looks like an el camino that ive seen pics of and he has fiberglass t tops. actually i was thinking when i get around to that area of my car making a fiberglass set. basically just taking out the stock glass and using a few fibgerflass sheets to replicate the glass so that it wud fit like a stock t top.

We sell a carbon fiber piece and a fiberglass piece. The fiberglass piece is the weight of one t-top, the carbon fiber piece even less...

You either attach t-top hardware to it (so you can just take it on and off like t-tops) via built in hardware OR you just screw and glue it (to make your car a "hardtop", couple customers already did this).

Our next shipment of 10 comes in Feb 9th and 6 are already paid for. Two month wait after that...
