I have things you don't and you have things I don't..we can pick our cars apart : LOL
so we will have to get back on the dyno after that horrible Y-pipe is replaced to see the gains
then you can get the big tube headers
I know it's just a #, but 500 rwhp would look good on the dyno.if we could just simulate the real gains of your RA on the dyno it would be a 500 rwhp 346 car I'm sure as it sits.
if you end up not getting that shaft from Bolo let me know I can set you up with the PST shaft

Awesome numbers! Can't wait to hear what it runs! This thread has got me all pumped up to work on the Impala. Hope to get out to the track and see you guys make some passes. Larry usually lets me know when your at 41 but I am too lazy to drive out from Crystal Lake.

yup straight as an arrow...i let her rip today and from all the added exhaust it blew my cutout right open after a pull in the country...looks like i am going to have to run a capped setup now or get a stronger electric cutout...it had never done that before...

the drivability is a little worse...no surging or any bucking...just higher idle and louder overall...starting cold sometimes takes 2 tries...besides that not to bad...but I don't think I would recommend dding this setup...plus mpg would probably kill you...I am used to my 30+mpg with my impala now

Good job with the numbers Chris I've been following your build and I know you put a lot of hard work in your setup. My setup is similar with Tfs 215 and a Ms3 cam on a iron 370 block. I'm hoping to knock on 500 hp doors i should be close. I still need to talk to you about weight reduction on my car when you get a chance. Its gonna be a good race season brother.

since the intake fit like crap there are pics in another thread I started...I shimmed it up with 8 port gaskets I had made...they were rectangular in shape with the head port waterjet cut out of them...I used .200 viton sheet gasket and drew a program up in autocad and had a local waterjet cut them out...I then rtved them to the heads...the transition was much improved and probably helped flow by around 5-10% if I had to guess...
all the little things add up...

We've used the Fel Pro gaskets for spacers, the 1312-3 is .060" thick, the 1312-4 is .095" and the 1312-5 is .120" thick. My last setup had two sets of the 1312-3 glued together with weather strip adhesive (couldn't get the 1312-5's)
If you do this you should also look through the injector hole and make sure you open up the top of the port to clear the injector spray, so you don't upset the spray pattern. The new Fast 102 which uses the LS2 fuel rails, the injector will spray onto the intake face also, so anyone using the 102 should massage the top of their intake port to clear the injector spray.
