Great results. But I think you might have a "happy" dyno imo. Just run it at the track, and that will tell ous.

My car dynoed 426rwhp at MTI before my bullets off the headers exhaust and it runs mid 10s. Your #ers are great.

Really, Cause my cam only dyno number was 398/366. I was kinda disappointed that i only gained around 35hp from heads/intake/cutout. Personally I thought this cam only dyno which was at a completely different location was "happy"

congrats on a well thoughtout setup! yeah, that auto might draw back the numbers, but i dont think they are unbelievable. small cams can make big power with the right combo.

remember, pick your heads (and intake) out first, then pick the cam.

I wish i could say it was thought out but it really wasnt. Ran across the heads by chance. picked em up for 800.00 so i couldnt pass on them. I would love to try a bigger cam in the future but i chickened out this time around..
I also forgot to add that the FAST was ported by Spectacle Solutions. Another reason i was hoping for a little more.

That dyno run must have been with a locked converter...

Auto dyno's are so unpredictable.

Enjoy

Honestly Im not sure. He spent alot of time with my car on the dyno because i had a messed up tranny tune. Also spent a good amount of time on cold start and street tune as well. The numbers arent as important to me as the way the car feels now. I hated to drive it because of the tranny downshift problems i was having. Not anymore!

From what I understand on a dyno an A4 should be locked when making a Dyno(hp) run. That gives us a closer number to an M6 car. I dont know. Im alredy lookin for a way to squeeze a little more out of her for when he comnes back to Pittsburgh to tune.

Who knows. I see and do alot stuff here in indiana, and NEVER see the kind of numbers 95% of the people post up on here. I just care about what the tune is doing and what the track times result in. But all in all, good results. Oh, and by the way, you only saw a 35hp increase is because of the head you chose. P/P heads are not a big power making head imo.

nice numbers man! your car is very strong.
I remember when it dyno'd 397 cam only, I was impressed.
Im with you though, I would have expected more than 35rwhp with heads & the FAST intake. throw some TFS 215s on it.

You can't really play the dyno game with A4's or you'll just wind up getting your feelings hurt. Especially if you're trying to keep up with the internet. Added drivetrain loss, variances on who does/doesn't lock/unlock the converter between runs, etc all play a part in how much you'll make.

I personally don't even like dyno'ing A4 cars. I like building them, street tuning them, and then taking them to the track for tweaking.

At the end of the day it doesn't really matter what you make. If you're engine combination doesn't match up with your drivetrain combination, the car is going to be slow. Period.
