427 makes 607 rwhp. 1.42 hp per cube "4L80e transmission." I have a post around here some where. You tube dyno videos also. It started out with only 543 rwhp. Had the heads angle milled to 13.5 to 1 comp, fixed the Fast LS7 port miss-match and reported the manifold correctly by LS2 Portworks. Changed to a flowmaster merge vice ARH merge, and added a 4 inch cutout vice 3 inch. That got me the 607. I have to redyno now that I have added a vacuum pump and higher flowing cat converters...

Single plain would probalby pick up 40 rwhp with the heads I have and kick up to 1.5 hp per cube... Still that's a mello combo compared to the biggg boys on here.....

You mentioned more loss with a locked auto.... That's no kidding I lost 20 rwhp going from a manual t56 to a 4l60 with a locked converter. I was only making 400 rwhp at the time with my LT1 396 combo. Brain Tolley lost 40 rwhp (I believe) after he converted to auto (4l60e now at locked 599 rwhp...)

None of this really means poop without track ET/Mile an hour to back it up. My old 401 LT1 made 452 locked and ran 11.3's 3700lb race weight, at pinks. I'm sure with more than 150 more rwhp, low 10's should not be a problem..

Now that's a dyno difference that would be great to see. Before and after an aftermarket vacuum pump. Whether it's a lot or a little, it would be cool to know.

Could you post a link to the build and Dyno?
