Default Bolt-ons Firebird -> 351 RWHP 365 FT-LB, Video and Graphs

Well a local shop (TPIS) had a dyno day special, $50 for 3 pulls, so I brought my car to see how it would do. I was more than happy when it put down 351.3 RWHP @ 5400 RPMs and 365.2 FT-LB @ 4500-4600 RPMs in 79* F air. I'm not sure if it the design of the Edelbrock stepped headers, or my tuner, but the numbers seem pretty good to me. The tune was set up for 13 A/F & 27* timing @ peak Horsepower, and 12.7 A/F & 24* timing @ peak Torque.

The pulls were from 2600-2900 RPM. The A/F was recorded with a wideband in the tailpipe, and varied from 12.30-12.9 (any comments on if that is good would be great, I have read that 13.0 is ideal, so running a little rich should be plenty safe?).

Air temp was 70*
Humidity was 32.404%
Barometric Pressure was 14.339mm Hg

Mods are (in order from front to back):
SSRA
K&N filter
SLP lid
Screened MAF
P&P TB
MSD wires
NGK TR55 plugs (gapped @ .045")
Edelbrock Victor Series Headers (1-3/4" -> 1-7/8" -> 3.5" collectors)
Edelbrock 3" ORY
Hooker Aerochamber
Tuned by Carl at CJtunes

Any comments/recommendations are welcome. (The car was VERY dirty)
Thanks

Nice numbers man! They are very similar to my buddy's full bolt on 6-speed 2000 SS

Tailpipe sniffers generally read a little leaner than the car is actually running, usually somewhere 0.5 points leaner. I'd say there may be a little bit more power to be gained by leaning it out. I usually shoot for 12.9-13.1 when tuning.

Good to know. I didn't tune it myself, and I don't have a wideband, so one of the reasons I dynoed it was to make sure that the tune was safe (verify my tuners work). It runs good, and since the tune seems safe I am not going to mess with it.

One thing to note is I will be switching from a SLP lid to a Blackwing lid, but I highly doubt that would cause any noticeable difference in my A/F.

Thanks! I spent a lot of time trying to decide which catback to go with, and I am happy with the way it turned out.

Your numbers are still pretty good though and nothing to be disappointed about, plus all dynos read different. Also I believe the LS7 clutch is heavier than stock which would hurt your numbers, and there is quite a difference in the mileage of our cars.
