Default Vengeance Built 2001 Camaro 1LE LS2 402 H/C/I puts down 524hp & 498tq at the tires!

The 1LE fourth gen Camaro has amazing suspension upgrades from the factory! HOWEVER, our customer felt that it was still lacking the POWER that it deserved.....and we just couldn't have that! She now boasts nearly 500 ft/lbs of torque and is more fun than ever before! Here's a few details of the engine build-

Engine:
GM LS2 Block
Callies Compstar Crankshaft
Callies Compstar Connecting Rods
Diamond Forged Pistons
Vengeance Racing VRX-5 Camshaft
TFS 215 Cylinder Heads reworked for a 4" bore
FAST 92 Intake Ported & Painted
Dual Valve Spring kit
Hardened Pushrods
Melling HV Pump
Comp Trunion Kit
Stock MAF

Those little TFS 215s put out KILLER numbers on 402s. I love the torque curve of this setup.

236 238 .601 .605 dnt remember the LSA separation but i think its a 112 or a 113, but i have this cam and my brother has their VRX6 that is a 238 240

its a good cam i have it in my c5z,

i have seen this VRX5 with several TF215 combos and it always make good numbers, not too big of a cam but not too small ,,
makes it just right for a daily driver

Nice results.

That's not a FAST 102 tho, you can tell easily by the pictures. So that actually makes the results a tad better

Great results, especially through the stock 78mm MAF. What does the exhaust set up look like?

Good numbers from a fairly mild 402 setup...that powerband looks fun!

I would swap out those heavy intake valves when you get a chance next...

Looks to have some nosediving at 6400 due to valve float...

What rockers?

Says Comp Trunion Kit... so I imagine the stock rockers.

Chris, do you know the weight difference on the 2.04 SS "regular" valve and the turned-down LS3?

^^gotcha didn't read the thread real in depth quick scanned it

Ls3 turned to 2.04 is 83 grams. The TFS's 2.04s ferrea are 110 grams, I don't know why they are so heavy being stock 2.00 is like 100 and my buddies 2.02s were 102ish can't remember brand...maybe it is just ferrea that is heavy, but TFS needs a lighter alternative from the get go

Add a fast 102/102 and ls3 valves and pick up another 20rwhp

https://ls1tech.com/forums/dynamomet...4-10-11-a.html

Still great numbers, congrats

~30g is a huge difference. Geez. And folks put YT rockers on top of that?!

No wonder the stock GM rocker is a great alternative on there with PM guides.

And people wonder why the LS7 lifter is failing or is as loud as hell? Probably due to the monstrous spring needed to control a heavy valve with a heavy roller rocker getting banged hard by a flexing 5/16" pushrod...

Just got off the phone with the owner, and he has confirmed that he is running Kooks longtubes with an Off-Road Y pipe to the factory muffler system. The owner of the car will be back in a few weeks for a Nitrous tune, and I will update with those numbers ASAP!!

Wow that sounds good for stock. Does it have a cutout to make those numbers?

It does have a manual cutout but these numbers were made with it closed. We will open it up for the nitrous tune. Compression is around 11.5 to 1.
