Default 950rwhp @ 15lbs Trans Am! Video!

Getting close to finishing up this build - 427 LSx block with MAST heads, 82mm Work turbo @ 15lbs (just for now). Already making 950rwhp on the dyno - and we're not done yet!

Likely somewhere between 21-25 pounds.. Its a fresh build. We are going to the track and shake it out like it is now.

That's damn impressive. You guy's are doing great work. Can't wait to see how much the TA makes in the boost range you guys are eventually shooting for.

We took it to the track yesterday. Peak boost recorded was 16.0 pounds and it averaged around 15 the whole run. Car went a 5.800 at 124.75 mph with a 1.40 60'. The car ought to be in the low 1.20's easy. It rained on us before we got too far with the car.

The car has a really simple boost controller so we had a hard time getting to leave with the boost we wanted. It boost creeps bad on the two step so we left at either 5 pounds or 14 pounds. There was no in between!

I think the owner is going to pick up a AMS 1000 which will make leaving with the car so much easier.

BTW. Race weight with a 200 lbs driver is 3720 lbs

Its got a Powerglide with a PTC converter and 3.42 12 bolt rear. The suspension was done sometime in the early 2000's so all I can tell you on it is its got qa1's (we want to change) tubular K member/a-arms, LCA's, airbag in the passenger side rear, and a drag sway bar.

It was on MT Street Radial Pro's. It needs a boost controller in a bad way. The turbo spools so fast its hard to catch it between 5 and 15 pounds! lol.

Car is on E85 with 2000cc injectors

Its a fresh build so we started really low. In fact you can sort of hear the car surging going down the track. Last year we had something like 19-21 degrees at 22 psi with a 410 cid. We started a little lower this year since the entire setup changed. That pass was at 16 degrees at 15 psi. It likely should be in the 22-23 degree range. We are not pushing it for power right now, rather just trying to get it to leave consistently.
