Default Vengeance Racing VRSP III Camshaft..477-rwhp A6 Fifth-gen inside

We've cut a million camshafts (give or take) in our time here at Vengeance Racing, and we're always tweaking profiles to get maximum performance, drivability, and of course, sound. This latest package shows off what our VRSP III camshaft can do when paired with a set of our VR Stage II CNC LS3 heads... through an automatic!

Engine:
VR CNC LS3 Stage II Cylinder Heads
VR Cam Kit Plus with a VRSP III Camshaft
VR Displacement-on-demand Delete
Power bond 25% UD Pulley
160-degree thermostat

Exhaust:
American Racing 1 7/8 long-tube headers with a catted X-pipe

Driveline:
3200rpm stall converter
3:91 Gears

Results:

Baseline numbers through the automatic transmission where 351-rwhp and 372 lb-ft of torque. The new VRSP III camshaft, which features 239/247-degrees of duration, .624/.624 inches of lift, and a 114+4 LSA paired with the CNC-ported stage II LS3 cylinder heads brought torque in early and often, taking the final numbers to 477-rwhp and 427 lb-ft of torque. That's a gain of 126-rwhp and 55 lb-ft of torque. And just check out the power climbing after 5,000rpm.

Healthy numbers for an A6. How is that 3200 stall working with that cam as far as drivability goes?

Excellent numbers. Did you retain the VVT? Stock throttle body? Love to see some track times with that combination.

It probably was. However if I am reading it correctly it did say DOD was deleted which is not exactly saying VVT was deleted. Anyways that is where I was coming from.
