Default 383ci 496rwhp Z06

We just built a 383CI LS6 with TJ Cylinder heads (flow 341CFM at .700), Mild Cam from Comp 236/242, LSX 90MM Intake, 90MM Throttle body from Midstate Machine, Kook's 1 7/8" Stainless Steel Headers, Kooks X-Pipe, 3.42 gears on a 2001 Z06. We made 496HP and 473TQ to the rear tires. We are very impressed at the numbers we saw. Please give me your feed back on what others have seen with this same setup or close.

What shop in Houston are you at?

Those are very good numbers for a 383. Most well setup 383's make in the 460 - 470 range.

Those are the highest dyno'ing 383ci #'s I have seen. Are we talking STD or SAE? What is the smoothing on the graph? Where did the cam peak? Can we get the compression? Was this open headers?

SAE and the cam peaked at 6800RPM. This was also thru full exhaust and B&B Headers.

Others cant give you feed back unless you provide the compression and if this was on pump gas as well. Use my sig as an example.

I have a somewhat similar setup.

Mine is a 395 though with the same cylinder heads and a bigger cam.

I made 506rwhp through the mufflers and the belt. Picked up 11rwhp w/o the belt. Oh ya, I have 3.90 gears also.

why did you tell us your .700 flow number? your cams lift shouldn't be anywhere close to that

my 383 made 490rwhp and 475 rwtq with 11.1:1 CR and 236/232 cam. through a 12 bolt with 4.10's
