as for your hp gains again..you mentioned you had an M6.which in fact does put down more hp. but only about 20 more max. vs. an A4. AS for m paying for you to get another dyno makes no sense. b/c the point that im trying to make is the mods you have listed arent realistic for the hp gain. look at every single post in this thread and the mods they have listed with the gains. HUGE diff. than what you have. there are guys spending a few thousand and just getting to the 350-400 hp range with lots of mods. than you pop and say ... mine is putting out 340hp with $250 worth of mods???? doesnt add up.

GM says the SS does 325 hp. that # is their flywheel # as ALL car companies do. the real rwhp # is pretty much always 15-20% less than advertised.
than you buy your lid, bellows & filter..total ADVERTISED is 30 ish hp gain. thats also BS. b/c they also advertises higher #'s. realistically 15. so thats where you prob got ur #'s from .that adds up. 325+15=340.

im not trying to bust your ***** dude even though it sounds like it. im just saying you either a) bought the car with some other mods done to it that you dont know about or b) just adding up the #'s of whats advertised.
I dont care if your busting my ***** or not.. I know that I know my **** and obviously you are mistaken on a few facts. First of all, GM was having issues with their LS1 block castings that were coming from mexico beginning in late 2000. With these problems came about a resolution of substituting the LS6 block into about 20% of the F-bodies in both 2001 and 2002. The block is the only difference, and it really adds up to no performance gain, just better oil control in the motor, stronger main webs and different alloy (dark grey, not the silvery color like your bellhousing). Also the LS6 intake came on all 2001-2002 LS1 f-bodies, it was not just limited to the 2002 cars. Second of all, I am well aware of what GM rates their cars at, and how they rate them at the flywheel, which happens to be an underrating for insurance purposes. Ive seen MANY factory LS1 cars put down their rated HP numbers to the rear wheels on many different dynos. I said the car put down 325 on its first pull of the dyno... I dont know where your getting the idea that Im substituting the factory rated numbers for the baseline, I am not that naive. Thirdly, I know what mods are done to the car... NOTHING BUT WHAT I HAVE DONE! I know what SLP advertises their gains for the products I purchased (lid, filter, bellows) and thats all fine and dandy, and with those, my car made the 325/330, the tune with those mods is what gave me the substantial increase.

I dont want to come across as busting your *****, Im simply trying to educate you on a couple of facts, and I hope you dont take offense. If you want to continue this discussion, please do so under thread https://ls1tech.com/forums/dynamometer-results-comparisons/727163-2001-camaro-ss-m6-factory-stock.html

Thanks.

"Yes. Dynapacks always read high. Dynojet is pretty much your industry standard. And then you have your mustang dynos which are pretty stingy with the numbers"

I can tell you I know that most the dynojets around me read higher than the Dynapack that I use. The Dynapack is the MOST accurate dyno you will find. Also the BEST dyno for tuning. Just FYI.

new dynotune numbers- Just got back from tuning like 20 mins ago at Pro Dynotech in Crawfordsville,IN.

Car was tuned by Ron Bilyeu

1994 m6 z28: under drive pulley, Pacesetter LT's, Aermomotive AFPR, FR 30#injectors, 3" exhaust, no emissions, no A/C, Ported & descreened maf, Walbro 315, BBK 58mm TB, gasket matched intake manifold, LT4 1.6 RR's, Cromoly pushrods, Comp Cams dual valve springs for well over .605 lift, Comp Cams 230/236 @ .050, .555/.580 @ 112 custom grind cam.
Engine is 355ci, stock replacement internals. Heads havent even been gasket matched, valves are stock.

So- pretty much a " Cam Only" LT1....

New numbers are 431.3rwhp 408.7lbfttq...

No track times yet..

T/A did 418rwhp & 404rwtq. My set up is a older one. See sig for details.

As a basic bolt on car with Lid, cat-back, ported TB type car, free mods etc, my 99 T/A did 323rwhp & 335rwtq

With cat back & lid the T/A did 313rwhp & 323rwtq

All numbers with belts and accessories functional and car in street trim.

As for LS1 cars stock and dyno numbers, I've seen a stock 01 Ram Air T/A put down 324rwhp 340rwtq on a dyno.

My 98 showed 323rwhp and 400rwtq on a dynojet. What's up with the torque #'s? Full bolt on Z28 with 3000 stall and 3:73s. Is the dyno wrong or what?
