Default New Dyno Numbers 232 237 111+4

New dyno nubers are in1 We added GMPP LPE C n C LS6 heads milled .055, TR 232 237 111+4 .594 .602, Cartech line lock, and motul 600 fluid in the aussie clutch. The car was fine before (397rwhp with cam only 224 227 114...), but now it pulls like a train and the top end hit is like a 2 stroke! The work CAM did was awesome as ususal, and the tune is perfect. We kept the cats on as they where added for inspection a few weeks ago, and it sounds much better with cats and HC than it did with out cats and the smaller cam. Here is the graph and the basseline showed is the car with the cam only (224 227 114) LG Pro LTs, Vararam, electric water pump, asp pully and Aussie clutch. Thanks!

Is that a new cam? I don't see it on their website.
Are those Thunder type lobes or LSK lobes?

Great numbers by the way!!!! I see a 125mph trap in your future.

It is the TR 232 236 112+4. The specs I posted are from the spec card. I did run it at the track sunday, but I drove like ***. It trapped @ 123 on the first shake down pass. The car ran 1.60s slipping it a bit (the engagement is slower and smoother now, like a lexus and it was perfect before, quick, firm and held fast. I realy need seat time, as I just got back from 9 months in durka durka stan 3.5k not sure but my car stock had the same trend @ 3.5k ,and the mods just seem to make it more visible on the dyno. I hope we have good wheather Sunday in NC.

Has anyone not noticed that when Jeff tunes a car his afr is WAY TOO LEAN?? They are good numbers but I wouldn't want my car to be that lean.

It's my knowledge that the afr is best between 12.9-13.1?

The GMPP LS6 heads being milled to the 61 +/- cc, did you have to flycut the pistons to get it to work? I got the same heads and was thinking about a bigger cam: Lunati 230 / 230 @ .547 lift, 112 lsa. Anyone know anything about this cam? Chief how's your driveability, bucking, stalling, etc.?

More 13.5+ What about the areas that are 13.8? Tell me thats not lean.

Jeff uses a tail pipe wide band, so it always looks leaner than it really is. He's tested the tail pipe and collector wide band back to back on many cars and usually sees .3 difference. No change in tune, just placement of sensor.

I know logging my car on the street doesn't show it to be lean

Sorry for the lack of an update on this thread fellas... Jeff came down over the weekend as I had an issue with something else he helped me on, I was poping fuses due to a melted CAGS conector after a trany fluid change Not done by CAM. Damn he is awesome, drove 1.5 hours to help me out, brought all his stuff to fix no matter what was wrong. I am embarresed it was so easy, but man blowing fuse 19 (engine1) caused some bad issues, but, it's all good now and here is to Jeff

Yes, the AF is on the sniffer and we should be a bit richer than that. Not sure how much but we have a dyno day on 14 Jan, so we will tripple check it. Jeff tunes on the safe side and I could not be happier.

No notching the pistons and the ext side was close when he clayed it up (.602 lift) and we could have squeezed a bigger cam in, but I don't think we could get much more out of it. This is with my OEM LS6 intake and a shaner ported TB, so there might be 10-15 more with a FAST 90-90.

I lug the crap out of it, drive it in 6th @ 45, but my favorite is parking lots. 1st @ 1k it just lumps. It pulls realy well from any RPM, no bucking or surging. The HC swap is less of a change than the fluid in the clutch The aussie was very fast before, smooth and perfect(fun!) and now with motul 600, it is very smooth and almost boring. The OEM cluth was never this smooth. If anyone has a car that thier wife needs to drive too and needs a very smooth, easy cluth, the aussie is it with some realy good fluid.

I saw the post with the worked Ls6 heads and that is a great price. I have the flow numbers someplace and I lost a bit with these milled .055, but IMO we made it up with the biump in CR which should be around 11.2:1. The work LPE did on these was awesome and I took some pics but they do not do them justice. The runners are awesome and Jeff had them cleaned up before he bolted them on (new TR gasket kit, LS1 bolts ect...). These heads are awesome and I think we made damn good numbers with out a huge cam and still on OEM LS6 intake and a ported TB.

I am trying to go 10s with the stock 342s out back, as I am pretty sure no one has done it in a Y body with out gears (HC). The car feals great and it has so much in it, I just need a dry T n T and some more seat time to get it figured out. The 1.59 short times feal about as easy as the 1.83s on the OEM clutch, no cam, no headers ect... The car feals great! We shall see in Jan how low in the 11s it goes, and then we will have to either spray it, or throw in some 390s.
