Default Got the car Dyno tuned

I finally went and got the car tuned a couple of weeks ago and dont know whether i should be slightly dissapointed or not, because of the numbers that i got with the cam thats in it (mods in sig). P.S the car was only revved to 6200rpm

I dont know if the fact that the fuel filter probably has all 93000 km on it and/or the fact that it still has the stock 3.42 gears in it would have anything to do with it. What do you guys think??

I changed the fuel filter, and could definitely feel a difference in the power, so that was probably half the issue. Any other ideas?

With the T-Rex cam you gotta rev alot higher than 6200 to see the numbers it puts down. A set of good flowing heads would probably help you alot to.

The reason i ask is because on Thunder Racing's website they have a dyno graph of one of their cars with an identical set up to mine, except theirs was a 99 and had an LS6 intake while mine is a 98 and has the Fast 90, and their car put down 451hp and 406 tq.

You have to understand that they are trying to sell you a cam with those numbers. I have personally witnessed/tuned ALOT of cam only cars and VERY few have went over the 410rwhp mark I read on the internet one time that if I bought some pills.. my dick would grow 3 inches.. I'm still waiting on that last 2.95 inches

Your numbers were CLEARLY still on the way up when you let off at 6200. Why did you stop there? 415+ is usually pretty stout for any cam with stock heads. I see you have the 90/90, so that's not holding you back at all. I would take it to the limit and see what happens with that peak number. You're sure to see at least a small gain up top. Congrats.

Graphs with MPH on the bottom axis make my head hurt. I want RPM there.

Very nice numbers.

Fyi, Tyngsboro is where Matthews used to be before it was shut down.

Well I just ordered a TR224 tonight... thunder has a labor day sale going. So I will be back to see Don in Seekonk after I install it. Also some budget 243s. I agree Don is the man!

Sorry for hijack
