Great numbers...What is your compression ratio? I see your heads are the TFS 35s with 70cc chambers...are those flat top pistons? What dish/valve relief if not?

Thanks

my best pass to date in the 1/8th on motor is 7.41@96 with a 1.71 short time..

made 1 1/8 pass on the bottle... 7.14@101 with a 1.85 short

and made 2 1/4 passes on bottle 11.24@128 with a 1.86 short

car weight in a 4k lbs with me in it.. and i was on a 335/35/17 hoosier drag radial....

but the 1/4 nitrous passes were at 13.5 a/f and only 10 degrees total of timing... so i need to work out my fueling issues.. but it does back half like crazy

CR is 11.25 and the pistons are 3cc pistons. Motor is built for spray, spec'd for a 250 shot with current cam. Which may or may not happen, lol. I gotta get used to this setup first. Went from H/C/I w/ 436/382 to this. I ran a best of 7.71 @ 92 w/60' of 1.73 1/8 with my previous setup.

Glad I found this! I am wanting to build a base 550whp motor then add a twin turbo setup for an easy extra 300+ hp. This thread will give me some great ideas for a base 550 motor.

Keep them coming!

It will be hard to get a 550 NA motor that has low enough compression to put much boost on it. You would be better off going for mid 400s and 9.5:1 compression and then you can push 10psi all day. Just throwing that out there.

I don't mind higher Comp; just means more power at lower boost. Mix in a little Meth Injection and all is good

Car put down 517/489 consistently over 3-5 runs at 88 degrees F, 30.16 BP, and 51% Humidity with SAE CF 1.00

I ended up staying NA and used PRC 2.5 LS6 heads milled 1cc to clean them and .040 cometics. Pistons are -10cc. Also went with ported FAST 90. I still need to port the throttle body but I am fairly happy with the runs.

I have two head options (because I have both in my garage).

First a set of Stage III Patriot LQ9 heads.

The other option is AFR 205, milled to 59cc.

My cam is a Comp XER 244/248 612/615 114+4.

Kooks 1 3/4 with 3" DMH cutouts and ZO6 Ti exhaust

Mizeire EWP

TPIS ported LS6 with Billet TPIS 85mm oval TB

I think that is all that matters for power production?

Any suggestions on milling the Patriot heads for NA application? Any issues with PTVC for the AFR @ 59cc? Head gasket size for max efficiency?

Thanks

Nice build...can you give some more info about your set up? Cam specs? exhaust set up?

What was your full run? 1/8th? 330?

All my mod info is in my sig. MS3 cam (237/242 .60x .60x on a 112), Pacesetter 1 3/4 LT's, Catted Y-Pipe and Magnaflow Catback.

This was my run the last time I was out. This is full weight and I was still spinning a little bit...

Since my last post in july, I swapped the 243s and Fast 92int and 1 3/4 LTs for CNC LS3 heads, Ported LS3 int, pulley and 1 7/8 Lts. I put down 495/470. I thought maybe another 10/15 hp higher. Going to go to another tunner.

Especially considering I went from a 2.0 to a 1.59 60' it def feels great! I can't wait to get some less used up tires and take out some weight to see if I can't get it even lower

Here are some more A4 numbers for you.

Dyno'd her today with only 40 miles on the new motor. I'm sure she will only get better with age.

11.76:1 compression
Iron LQ4
4.030 bore
4.00" Stroke
Wiseco pistons (-8cc)
Eagle rods (6.125")
K1 (Carillo) Crank
All ARP hardware
Trickflow 220cc heads (As-cast - 62cc - 4.0" bore)
LS7 lifters
Comp Cams 239/247 .624/.624 112+0 LSA
7.500" pushrods
Cometic .040 gaskets
All assembly done by yours truly.

1 3/4" Kooks headers
Magnaflow exhaust
off-road midpipes
K&N Intake for 04 GTO (HUGE RESTRICTION ! ! ! ! !)
FAST 90/PTM90
HPTuners tune - by ME

Final Dyno numbers:
475RWHP
490RWTQ

Will probably look into a bigger maf and intake tube to see how much she picks up. It was showing 96KPA at WOT which is a dead indicator of an intake restriction.

Check out the stock including LS2/L76/LS6 vs FAST intakes...

The AFRs are more common but make good power, this is both 205/225; the TFS heads includes 215/220/225...but is a small sampling of 7 cars.

The A4s were obviously not going to shine here in the dyno section...wish I had enough track times to compare all the A3/A4 cars to the M6 cars.

Thumbs up

Here is the latest I have. I obviously left out the 667hp car due to the fact it is boosted.

My latest dyno...see first post for mods...#s 500/472 new mod was AFR 205 swapped to TFS 235s, added cutouts. Line stopped due to lost tac signal...

Thanks to Ron and all the guys at Vengeance. They did some great work on my car, swapped heads, new tune, and cutouts. Runs great, can't wait to get to the track.
