Default Buddy with turbo Honda talking smack...

Friend of mine put a T4 on his 94 Civic hatch. He had it dyno tuned and it put down 220fwhp at 9psi. And claimes it will run low 13's, and I should be scared.... Are those times accurate for his power with a light weight hatchback?

Actually, doesn't sound too far off (given he can drive/hook)... those EG Civic hatches weigh less than 2500lbs, and 220whp is enough for low-mid 13s. I know that RSXs with 200-210hp run mid-high 13s, and they weigh about 300-350lbs more. So depending on his transmission/tires, he very well could be running low 13s.

I respect anything that is fast but why the hell would you spend that much money on a 94 civic. I still think you could take him though, especially up top.

Thats what im saying...its not even a vtec. Its a 1.5 sohc. He loaded so its nothing for him. He paid $500 for a ebay kit another $300 for odds and ends and another $800 for the dyno tune and new computer. He has a bunch of nice cars BGN, impalla SS, vette,olds cutless drag car, not sure why he decided to dump money into that turd.

Vtec + turbo doesnt work well together. The big HP Hondas are SOHC. A friend had one that put down rith at 300 whp and he ran door to dorr with my 408 that trrapped 121 mph on motor. Doesnt take much hp to make those go fast.

Because he's spent ~$4000-$5000 on a pretty quick sleeper... not everybody has the same taste.

theres a ls integra in my area with the same setup and he says he would destroy me which i doubt its a 1998 integra i belive a ls but he has vtec? and a 500$ ebay turbo kit he also has a 75shot im pretty sure if he has a the turbo kit working again he wont spray what chances do i stand with him on that turbo and the spray or just one or the other i have lts and full exaust and a stall and a new lid and 273s

If he's turboed and sprayed, then it's gonna be a pretty quick car. Even if he can't hook from a dig, it's still gonna be quick from a roll. Assuming he's running ~8psi, he's somewhere in the 250-275whp range. So then add a 75 shot to that, and you're looking at ~325-350whp. Which in a ~2600lb car is no slouch. But it all depends on the setup.

so can his motor take a 75shot and and have the turbo at once or does he need engine work 2 take it? i guess i might lose man that sucks this guys a real **** talker

Depends on the setup/tune. The motors are strong enough to hold 300-350whp, just have to do it right.

I think he could run somewhere in the 13s if everything fell together...

honestly if I could get a cheap hatch civic and a cheap ebay turbo kit I'd put them together and expect a 14 second daily driver that would return 30 MPG and start everyday....lol
