Default 2001 Cobra VS. 2008 Altima 3.5

will be 0-85 mph NO ROLLS!!!..

altima 3.5 pretty much dead hooks on the street and has the thing where it doesnt shift (1 gear).. me or my buddy will be driving it (its buddies mom).. 2 door

cobra spins and has a shitty drive.. im guessing he is probably going to bog it and then spin most of the way through first gear..

altima is bone stock..

cobra is bone stock but has 18 inch rims on it..

i know the cobra is going to run the altima down on the top end.. and i know it would win from a roll... but im betting on the cobra spinning and bogging and then not having enough to make that up to run down the altima before 85mph..

who would you put your money on?

If the Cobra driver could drive he would crush it...seen them run as fast as low to mid 13's stock...but he cant so who knows.

sorry bro but i think the cobra will know ur counting on him 2 spin and just baby it out of the hole and he will get u pretty good .....but if he spins and boggs it then u have a real good chance providing u hook i dont see him coming back up till the quarter mile

just to let you know how stupid the cobra owner is...

i raced him yesterday in my car cause he was saying i was running from him and avoiding him and that he had the fastest car in town..

we ran.. i beat him by give or take a few 25-30 car lengths... and no that is not an exaggeration.. he then said he wanted me to put my tires on and go from a dig next week.. he will turn his traction control off and he wants to put money on it!!!!

the kid is an idiot.. and never street races anyone.. hes not smart enough to baby it i PROMISE!!!

Zero to 60 mph: 5.8 sec

me and my buddy did it the other day.. with me in the ca with my buddy and a full tank of gas it did 6.8....

Standing ¼-mile: 14.6 sec @ 97 mph..

with an average everyday driver.. the cobra is a high 13 second car.. with a bad driver its a low 14 second car.. with the rims and **** he has its a low to mid 14 second car.. he will trap about 102 though...

like i said i think its going to be a race.. but now that i see that... im almost 100% sure that the altima is going to get him enough out of the hole because of traction that the cobra isnt going to be able to catch up..

I have been involved in races w/ both cars being stock from a dig and a roll (01 Cobra & A4 LS1).Both cars being equal w/ good drivers a a4 ls1 and a 01 Cobra should be door to door from a dig and from a roll (30-40) the cobra will jump out hard being the manual. The 99/01's make good power in the right hands.

Yea w/ the crappy driver but potential wise the altima doesnt stand a chance. After getting some pilot time theres no reason why the 01 Cobra cant cut 13.50's in stock trim.

ive raced these also.. i had a lid and catback..

3 rolls with a 99.. 40-90 and 30-100... both times i got him by about 3-3 1/2..

then at the track i raced an 01 and got him by about 4..

like i said.. no doubt he would smoke the altima if he could drive.. but he cant..

AGAIN!

i totally understand that... not trying to say it would... i know what they are capable of... but with this driver it ISNT! haha..

also the 18s dont help him..

i was just wondering what everyone thought about it since the kid cant drive and should spin and bog it.. wondering if they thought he could catch the altima before the 1/8 mile... (85 mph)

Why are u asking what you already know then. The Altimas info is just a 5 second google search away..Is the kid w/ the Nissan going to throw a party after he beats a bad driver of a car that should run a second faster then his? Any Moe should be able to get a low 14 out of a 320 hp Cobra w/ some kind of seat time...Btw I dont think the 18's will hurt him that much.

i didnt know... i had no idea what the altimas run.. and was really sure on what the cobras run till after i posted that... and iw asnt asking what would happen in a perfect world..

the "kid" doesnt own the camaro... he has a 6.0L Z28.. its his moms.. she heard how pitiful i made the car look and thought it was funny.. then she wanted to race him in her car to make it even worse by getting beat by an altima..

doesnt matter if the cobra COULD beat the altima.. im sure if i drove the cobra it would win... but with the driver it has.. its not fast as it should be..

was just looking for opinions.. thank you for yours!! but i wasnt asking who would win if both drivers can drive... i know the outcome of that..

Dude, take a video of the run please and post it on here. I think you will win if he really is that horrible of a driver. I mean, he already sucks at driving and you know he is gonna be nervous as hell about getting outrun by an altima.
