what will it take to beat this mustang?

What gears do you have, OP? Did you say it and I just missed it? Hopefully not 2.73s because that would be bad news for you. You're gonna need some bolt-ons to make that a good race.
I've never seen a bone stock 01-02 LS1 legitimately put down 320+ to the wheels SAE on a dynojet. 290-310, but 320+ is pushing it.

For whatever reason, the '01s and '02s seem to be a little more stout, not sure why. I do know they got the LS6 intake and the '02 6-speeds came with SLP's lighter flywheel from the factory as well...

Yeah but he didn't say he was doing weight reduction, unless I missed that.
No 320 rwhp Mustang is going to beat a Vette from a dig with 4.10s without traction (which he won't have on the stock tires).
And he will not pull away from an LS1 6-speed vette on a top-end roll. End of story. I'm not talking about a beat-on '97 Automatic A4 .
If you want to come up with - well my friend's grandmother's roommate...no. He beat the driver.
Put Nittos on that Mustang, different story from a stop. Wouldn't help with the roll race though.

My friend whom I no longer keep in touch with over at LS1.Com put his '02 Z28 on the dyno and it put down 333rwhp. First time at the track he ran 13.2@109mph here in Southern California.

We had a huge dyno/tune day a few years ago, the 01+s seemed to put down anywhere from 319rwhp-335rwhp.
The '98-'00s were all over the map, anywhere from 279rwhp (convertible '00 A4) to 310rwhp (M6 '98).
All dyno's are different however, that dyno may have read a little higher than usual. Just posting the findings.

Here's a full pic of the Bullitt. I love that car, even though it's woefully underpowered (it's the grocery getter lol).
They put different leather seats in that are much more comfortable than a regular GT's, the speedo is retro, and the shifter just looks slick with the silver ball matching the door sills that say "Bullitt" on them:

If he trapped 109 and put down 333 SAE on a Dynojet, it's not a bone stock car. You said stock 01-02s. I would know, my brother and I both own 2002 LS1s and my dad owns an 04 GTO with an LS1 in it, not to mention about a dozen friends of mine who have 98-04 LS1s (Fbodies and Vettes). And they've all been dynoed SAE on a dynojet and been run at the track about a million times.

Thanks! Yeah not sure of the weight of his car, it wasn't a stripper, he had power everything.
You guys are going off-topic again! We were talking about the OP's friend's (lol - now why does that sound funny) modded car with 4.10's on stock tires. He'll never get traction from a stop, and he won't see 12's in that case :p

4.10s, new to power/setup, street tires = Up in smoke generally though.
But, he may show up with DRs. Who knows?
