My car is a 1998 SS 6 speed with 64,000 miles. I'll be racing my car at Infineon Raceway which is sea level and gets cold air around 40-50 degrees. My car has a custom ram air intake setup like a ftra, a lid with a completely sealed air box. A 3" flowmaster catback with a open 3" cut out installed in the I-pipe, all of the free mods done and it has 255/50/16 M/T ET Drag Radials on the back. Does anyone think my car will pull a high 12 second 1/4 mile and what do you think im making for horsepower? Some kid wants to race me with an LT1 Z28 that puts down 255rwhp at the track. I'm pretty sure my car is going to take a crap on his lol.
Thanks

Your car should have like 300 maybe 320rwhp. And you will be able to launch great with those tires. If he is on street tires he will just be spin city. Lt1 are torquey down low and hard to hook on street tires.I don't bother going to strip with my 96z on street tires. NIttos or et street radials or forget it. You could hit high 12s since your track is at sealevel. For sure should do low 13s.
You should roast him pretty darn bad ,so bad in fact that likey he will think you have nitrous! I ran buddy with auto lt1 ta in my 99 ta when it was bone stock and he in fact made me pop the hood to prove I didn't have spray.
We expect it to be a massacre.

you will def kill the lt1. and for the drag strip you should be in low 13's if you know how to drive well. my 01 z28 put down 323hp 337lb tq and i ran 13.52 at 107mph. barley revved and was spinning for a little bit. so id think your ss would be around that. my z28 DEF could get in the high 12's.
