Default 06 mustang on spray?

06 mustang with cai and a 100shot, supposedly nothing else

manual car with a guy who is supposedly not a great driver, but the car might be a freak or have some hidden stuff as he's beaten some cars people don't think he should have

he is calling me out for money but I'm not thinking its the best idea....could I be wrong?

times are in sig (2200 or 2400 DA that day I don't remember), he will want to go from a dig most likely

There was an 05 GT manual with a 100shot and some MT drag radials at Rockingham when I was there, back in July. I'm sure of all of his mods, but the nitrous kit was done up nice. I had seen him run some 12.5 and he said he was on a 100 shot. I asked what his 60's were assuming he was spinning and he said he was cutting 1.7s. Not too impressive, if you ask me.

He ran against my car one time and cut a 1.94 60' and went 8.25 @ 85.1-1/8 and 12.70@111.9-1/4. So if I had to guess, I'd say he wasn't spraying until he got moving pretty good. It was 75 degrees that day and about 1700' DA when he ran against my car. It had been slightly warmer while he was running 12.5s

So you should get him if he isn't a good driver.

Too close for money IMO. I'd actually lean towards him winning assuming he can drive.

yeah, I'm kinda hesitant to put a bet on it (even though it would be a small one)

there is another guy wanting to run him too who should be slightly slower than me, so I might see about watching them run to see what kind of driver he is for myself, but I was thinking it would be close with him maybe having a slight power/weight edge just wanted to confirm so I wasn't pussing out too early

Well,
From a modular stand point the three valve car is nothing to fear from a dig..kinda. Remember it's fords "in between" motor so in a perfect world it has 2v torque and 4v power band. From a dig on the bottle if you leave in power and get him off the line ( depending on how quick you are off the tree ) you'll surely walk him. Now once he gets going depending on when you start running out of steam.

Then that's when he may have a chance to come around you. I know my little old mostly stock 96 GT ran a 07 GT from a dig on the street. Stick car vs. Stick car and me with 3.90's and him with whatever gear comes with the FRPP package ( I want to say 4.10's ). I had him till about third when he pulled on me so around 5500-6K. If you don't make enough torque to put loads of distance between you and him off the jump. Or the power to outrun him or "out spin" him...don't bother.

Driving aside the 3v cars are a freak of nature...lol. I'd run for fun to learn the car and make the needed adjustments.

Running him from about 20-25 mph would be you best bet...If you had a 3600 stall in there, I think you wouldnt have a problem...but with that stock stall your car is a pooch (no offence).

I disagree to a point. nothing to fear from a dig? They are better from a dig than a roll (assuming you mean stock tune). Also, the gears in teh FRPP package will depend on what tranny he had. 3.73s for auto, 4.10s for manual. If your 'bolt on' 96 GT hand with one til 3rd, you beat the driver..plain and simple. A freakin' bolt on 3.8 V6 fbod would beat that car.

yes my car needs a stall very very badly, and a yank3600 is likely whats in my future

my car is a dog below 3200ish which means I don't spin but it doesn't leave hard either (2.1 60ft is my best so far), after that it moves very well and with the new intake it jumps up in power noticeably again after 4k rpm and pulls its *** off all the way to the rev limit which is at 6400 I believe (I try not to find it haha)

I'm leaning more towards the side of "bad idea" right now unless like I said I watch him race my buddies 335rwhp lt1/t56/4.10 gear third gen first and its close (or my friend manages to win) because my car is .6-.8 quicker than his in the 1/8th

I say you lose this round, you will at the very least need a small shot (50) to hold him at bay on the top end, but a 75-125 shot will seal the deal. Power adder to power adder

the next money I get will go to stall and a real dyno tune haha my car is still not making all the power it should and the stock stall is driving me nuts

after that I'll be moving on the wheels/tires/suspension/and adding c5-c6 brakes so this thing would stop too

I never said he was s good driver and yes as you said. They are better out the whole then from a roll. However, in my experience I've never had an issue with one beating me off the line. Then again, that's a skill I developed since I've always had the slower car. Either way I think he doesn't have enough car and to walk away from this one. Then again,it's nothing a little bottle can't fix, right ?

my buddy with basic bolt-ons ran a 8.59 at 84mph in the 1/8. so his car with 100 shot will beat you im sure. so dont take that race.

3600 stall is pretty nice

Especially when you start cutting really decent 60 fts at the track... Obviously you know what my car base lined on the dyno, and I ran a 12.9 with essentially no mods, and Nitto drag radials...

Cut a 1.76 60 ft. and hole shotted a 12 second flat evo in the process (Obviously he kicked my ***, but still... it was awesome)

my 60ft hurts

I was just happy to come in under .2 slower than a 430rwhp cobra that day haha

well I'm gonna try rigging up a cold air system and see if there is anything to gain with open cutouts via some practice stuff tomorrow (weather permitting) and like I said, hopefully he will run someone else first

I win, dunno how in the hell...but it wasn't even close. My friend was dead even with him, I spun my *** off because of sand on the road (at least that's what it seemed like...dead end with dirt/gravel at the end) and still pulled on him hard through the 1/8th mile, fucked up, and still held him off by at least 3 cars. I was stunned.
