id race him. the race will be close and probably come down to driver though. his car is about 300lbs heavier and 30-40hp more. id say dead even.

Is your car a manual?

I would dig race. Solid Axle > IRS wheel hopping.

You would probably lose highway racing.

It would be close, are you tuned? If you are then I would put my money on you, if your not then it would either be dead even or he would pull up top.

Not unless he has drag bags or a full peders suspinsion.
No matter how you run him he is going to pull you.If you a go from a dig and he has drag bags and DRs he is going to hook like crazy. At least i do.And if your going to run him from a roll he will jump you and pull you.It is a LS2 after all.I dont care if its 300lbs heavier. That can be eliminated by just removeing all the off road skid plates and back seat.I droped almost 250 doing some serious weight reduceing.Just be carefull and shift in the red and you should get him.Make sure your above 3500 if you roll race and if you wanna dig him i would get your tires hot and dump it high.Good luck and let us know how it runs.

^^^ man, when i had my old setup which was a baby cam and full exhaust i raped a 6.0 GTO. now i have no idea what his setup was he could have been showroom stock, but we honked it off and i walked him hard core. and i know your taking up for your car, but GTO's are heavy and need the kind of mods your talking about to be serious contenders.

If I wanted to I could take out my back seats too and drop some weight too
