Default what will i put down and run? i live in cobra town!

ok. this will be a long post but i need some insight on what my car is gonna do becuase i live in mustang central. i live in a VERY small town. But yet there are 3 yes three 03-04 cobras in town. and at least 3 of the na cobras. im not worried about them ill eat them for a midnight snack. here is what im gonna have after the mod fest.

engine
Stock displacement 4 bolt main LT1, gasket matched heads, fully ported intake, 52mm tb, ported maf, ram air, cc503, 1.6rr, crane springs, EWP, egr delete, air delete, mad z28 tune, 30 lb injectors, lt4 km, 160 stat, rev limiter set at 6300.

Transmission
Kevlar bands, b&m shift kit, hardened input and output shafts, basically its built. lol. 2400-2800 stall.

Exhaust
Pacesetter Full race long tubes and ORY, Magnaflow catback.

Differential
373s

Suspension
Subframe Connectors, Lakewood lower control arms, lca relo brackets, eibach springs, poly motor mounts and trans mount. poly sway bushings front and rear.

Thats about it. on the gears a cold air and a 2 1/4 dual exhaust setup i ran 13.56. THAT WAS WITH THOSE MODS ONLY!! every other mod listed is new and has not been to the track.
There is one cobra that has a pulley and full exhaust, would like to beat him N/A but dont think i can. im thinking ill have to put some spray into the mix.
The short block i used is a stock 4 bolt main, so do you all think i will be ok with these mods and a 150 wet shot? im thinking with the wet shot ill be able to get him by 2 cars or better..

N/A...no. Run the 150 shot and that should hold them off if they are still running the stock blower. The average pullied Cobra should run 11.80's to 12.50's @ 116-120. Fun cars to own and run.

yeah, those charged cobras are sick, I've always been a die hard Chevy guy, but dammit those 03-04 cobras are so damn easy to make fast. you've got some work on your hands to keep up with them. like jay said, if they are on the stock blower a 150 shot MIGHT hold them off, but if they port that blower and pulley it, my guess is you will be lookin at some taillights. you see the setup in my sig, that plus a 100 shot is all so i can hang with the local cobra and gt500 boys.

You should be a good race for a bolt on/geared 05 GT.

correct me if im wrong but that would be about the same as a pullied only or full exhaust only 03-04 cobra. right? pullied OR exhaust they usually run around 12.2-12.5 right?

Personally, if I really want to play with the Termis with an LT1, I'd go with more cubes, very good heads, AND juice. It doesn't take much in the way of mods to take down a stock Terminator(with an LS1), but, obviously, more work to do so with an LT1. Problem is, even after you attain stock-Termi-conquering-performance, good luck finding a stock one! In my location, in addition to my best friend's, I know of five other '03-'04 Cobras.....and NONE of them are stock. They're so mod-friendly, it eludes me why anyone would want to buy one and keep it stock. Good luck with your project, but I really think you need to make more power on motor than you do now, then add the spray on top of that, if you really want to go toe-to-toe with modded Terminators.

Default hmm here is a good insight into the termis

take a look at this vid, this cobra gained almost twice as much on the hypertech as it did a pulley.

Not saying they did but they could calibrate the dyno to say whatever they wanted it to. Theres no telling how much Hypertech paid them to advertise their product.

Wtf are you trying to say?

Some t/a in a video was racing your son's (or boyfriend) 03 cobra. The t/a had his tune done on top of a sct and then he installed a 2.8 pulley somewhere? End result is the t/a (aka b!tch) rolllllllllllllllllllsssssssssssssss? Was the driver hurt? I assume the t/a was totaled?

There are stock Eaton cars running low 10s... And there are pullied/ported cobras running mid 12s, along with some bone stock cobras running mid 12s...

If you are running from a dig with tires you dont have much to worry about..

Run them from a roll and you better bring your A game.. IMO a mild bolt on cobra would make you look silly..

FWIW I have a buddy that isnt that great of a driver.. he went 7.7@90mph w/ a 1.75 sixty time..with full exhaust intake water cooled and has a pulley that makes around 11-12lbs (most pullied cobras make around 16lbs from what I know).. He has cut a couple low-mid 1.6s but misses 3rd gear every time..

Cobras are not like fbodys.. you give me mods on an fbody and i can tell you almost exactly what it will run everytime.. cobras are not as consistent.. dyno numbers dont tell anywhere near the truth usually and the irs/manual combo play a big part in ETs...

I will tell you that you shouldnt ******* with properly set up cobras from a roll though, especially since your an a4... My buddies gave my last H/C car a run for its money.. i had the faster car, but not by much.. I ran 7.2@95.5 spinning NA and he was right with me from 50-120mph..
