A buddy of mine and I took our 2010 GT-Rs down to see Tim at Surgeline in Portland today. Mine's 100% stock - 0 physical mods. I had it on 101 octane unleaded for safety. At 17psi, it makes some crazy power: 540whp/570wtq. . . over and over and over again. smile.gif My buddy made very similar numbers today on 92 octane, but with the addition of a Y-pipe and another pound or so of boost. We were all stunned to see the 2010s responding so well.

^At just 17psi his could easily be running on pump gas with the same tune, aside from that the cars bone stock.

Ya, I am going to have to agree with you here. I can think of a few 6 cylinder FI Nissan torque monsters from the past.

I don't know if you have a Z31 still, but that VG30et produces a hell of a lot of low end torque, especially when you start modding it.

Little being the operative word. Good cars, but torquey relative to their size.

Once all that is said and done, I suspect the big hp cars with TT kits like Heffner's, Hennessy and Underground Racing about about as good as it gets.

So the Porsche 911 Turbo and Twin Turbo GT2 aren't race oriented cars? Both of them rev to around 7000 RPM and are both extremely streetable.

The 911 TT is a GT car and the GT2, while certainly more focused and track oriented, isn't the factory "racer" - the GT3 line is from both a street and track perspective.

In fact, Porsche just announced a 480hp GT3 R which suprised me since their new Cup Car is 450hp.

9,000rpm does sound cool actually... and my car's at 91k miles and still going, and I can promise you atleast 70k of those are HARD miles.

The 9k rpm was brought up for the pushrod 1000hp NA LSx motor.

Your car is nowhere near that kind of power.
