Default 95 gt vs 05 silverado

who would win? both are friends rides. trying to get a friendly race together since the stang think its pretty sweet.

95 mustang gt- 5 speed, 150k+ miles, ORH, shorties, 295/19s.
05 silverado 1500- 5.3, 4wd ext. cab, stock, auto unhooked exhaust after cat (sounds good though), bigger tires (31s?)

i wanna say dig goes to the silverado, and maybe a roll from the right spot, as long as they dont go 100 or higher. stang driver wasnt good last time i drove with him, but i heard hes gotten better.

What does that year Silverado usually run in the 1/4? If not bottom 15's/high 14's then the advantage goes to the SN95.

i have zero idea, which is why i asked. a 4wd launch would help him from a dig. maybe a good spot from a roll and he could take him. like i said, last i saw, my friends wasnt too hot with the manual tranny, so hes doubtful from a dig.

you would come here

both feel slow to me. i just feel the silverado has a little more kick from a dig, rolls would probably go to the stang if its a bad spot for the truck. if the truck wins any races, it wont be b y much. im calling 1 car tops

Stock my 95 felt like a dog. 2.5" exhaust woke it up alot, a tune up woke it up even more, aluminum flywheel helped, CAI with bigger MAF helped alot, 70mm TB helped more, UD pulleys helped. I'd say after all of that my car would have touched the 13's in the 1/4th. But if this guy can't drive he might be up **** creek.

But its hard to say. A stock 1500 is sloooooow.

funny story, we were drunk one night and the 1500 thought for whatever reason SWORE up and down he was faster than me. well i settled that by putting a few 747s on him from a 15 roll. hes a funny drunk

maybe ill tell my friend about those mods for his 95. i feel bad for him, hes the slowest of all my friends with performance cars.
