Question 365 rwhp f body... what will it run?

02 WS6, 6 speed.

just dynod 365 rwhp and 346 lb ft to the wheels cam only with lid/catback.

My previous best was 13.6 @ 108 mph with a lid and catback on a 2.2XX 6 ft.

I'm hoping to crack the 12's. Do I have enough ammo to click off a 12.5 et??

12.6-12.9 depending on traction, 12's will be easy to get traction might be a little harder, what tires are you running?

I think he missed the cam in your mod list. I missed it first time too.

For a second it looked like you said you put down 365 with a lid and catback only.

Yea that's what i'm saying those #s are completely unbelievable without headers. Dyno needs the happy button off or to be calibrated. My buddy unlocked yank and torquer 2 made 370 with all bolt ons in cooler dense air.

why so unbelievable? The technology with these "baby cams" have gotten a lot better than back in the day.

Keep in mind the cam was spec'd out to work with a restrictive exhaust as well. I did my research beforehand and I think it paid off.

Have you seen the results with a lot of these EPS cams? I don't think those dynos are all happy.
I guess the track numbers will help as well.

IF you can get it to hook, 12.5s are possible. I just had bolt-ons with shitty $70 245 street tires and pulled off a 12.66@112 in shitty air.

Just wondering, why did you skip ahead to a cam before getting other mods?

I live in CA and wanted power without the hassle and noise.

This is my daily driver and I've heard LT's through the GMMG catback in person and it was waaaaaaay too loud. I could not imagine driving my car 25k miles a year with LT's through the GMMG.
Right now the cam on manifolds through the GMMG sounds perfect to me.

Deep/Exotic/Heavy/Refined would be the best way to describe it.

Once i get a decent daily driver I'll probably throw headers on there and make it strictly a cruising/track car.

So your only two suspension/chassis mods are SFC's and koni shocks?

IDK if you will 12.5x's with street tires. If you can pull off a 2.0 60ft on street tires and at your power you should hit 12.6x's. Just remember for every .1 off your 60ft time its worth about .2 give or take in the 1/4...... With your trap speed b4 you did a cam with a 1.8 or better 60ft time you'd be looking at 12.8x's.... You the driver and sticky tire mod to hit your target 12.50's or better.

only? do you know how much koni 4/4 shocks cost? lol. I also have strano springs that arrived in the mail today. It's not the best for drag racing, but I could care less. My goal wasn't to build a drag only car.

Lower control arms are next.

Cool setup. Im with you with LTs and a GMMG = way too loud. GMMG sounds awesome through stock manifolds. And with the cam & your bolt ons, 365/346 is definately believable. Does your car have a tune? You figure that a full bolt on Fbody makes around 360rwhp and driven right, with a good DA they go bottom 12’s @113 with stock weight.

Yea it was fully dyno tuned at forcefed performance. I actually posted a couple vids in the Dynomometer Results section.

And the cats would probably help quiet it down some, but I drive my car 20k miles a year. I'd rather get a set of ported heads to make more power than Long Tubes...at least right now.

I still have room for more HP when I get a Cutout, Ported TB, and a pulley. That might get me 10 rwhp on a good day.

I hope it cools down in a couple weeks at Infineon so I can have a better shot at 12.5xxx.

13.1 @ 108 mph 2.1 60 ft on street tires out of 12 runs at the track tonight. Not sure what the DA was.
I'm bummed.

I was bouncing off the limiter at the top of third because i was closing in on the 1/4 mark. This happened on most runs. Maybe if i shifted to 4th i could've squeezed a 12.9 out???

Someone had mentioned that the track had calibration issues on the readings for trap speed that night at the track last year. Now it makes sense why i only got 13.6 @ 108 last year. LOL!
