2009 QTP EFI Race series.
Barry,
What is the status of the series for 2009?
Last year it seemed to be gaining some serious momentum.
A little birdie told me that there may be some new "Things" for the 09 season?
Do you have the QTP EFI schedule yet?
(I know Raceway Parks whole schedule is not out yet)
Here is an idea that others can chime in on...Not sure if it is one of those "Things"?
Have you given any thought to awarding points for each race?
Then you could have a Champion at the end of the season.
If not for every class, maybe just the Quick Time 8?
Just a thought.
I hope I can qualify this year.
Thanks for putting on the show again!

[QUOTE=Anonymous;10822190]Barry,

That's true. There has been alot of inquiries on a class for another heads up class. Barry submitted a proposal on eliminating some bracket classes and adding a PRO TREE heads up 11.5 class for all the roll bar delete cars. He's waiting on the schedule and an answer on the changes. This will NOT be limited to just LSX engines, but to ALL EFI cars. We'll see what E-Town says.
I can't wait to here what Redgar has to say to you about this. Haha!

I thought for 09' the NHRA roll bar requirements was moved from 11.49 to 10.99? Think Barry would do an 11.0 class if that may be true?

quick 8 was ls cars only yes.
An 11.5 heads up index should actually be great, the guys without the safety stuff would have a heads up place to race, good move IMO.
Hell if that was around before I went mental with my junk I'd have left it at that speed and run that class.

Sorry Rob. It's always been LSX only. In years past, when the field was thin, some LT1 cars have participated. Depends on the turnouts. Because the Quick 8 has been getting quicker each year, many of us have discussed the 11.5 class for the non certified group. There seems to be quite a few cars that can fit this catagory and enjoy the heads up racing that the Quick 8 group runs. If this class grows to a faster group, we'll talk about dropping it to 11.0 since it appears that NHRA has possibly moved the roll bar index. Not sure if this is correct. As of right now, Englishtown hasn't responded with an answer yet. Barry will make a post ASAP when he hears from them.

Roll bar mandatory in all cars running 11.00 (*7.00) to 11.99 (*7.49) and in convertibles running 11.00 (*7.00) to 13.99 (*8.59), and in dune-buggy type vehicles running 12.00 (*7.50) seconds and slower. Permitted in all cars. See General Regulations 4.10, 10.6.
11.99 has not been the rule in a while..
Guess I'll wait for a 2009 pdf to get put up.. But until then.. Thanks for the good news
