** Cartek Racing bolt ons only Corvette LS2 runs 11.3s at 122mph **
After Cartek Performance Engineering (www.cartek.net) did an awesome job installing the headers/X-pipe, torque converter and Cartek custom ported throttle body on my Corvette LS2 A6 followed up with Julio's stellar dyno tuning skills, I headed off to Atco Raceway last night for some shakedown runs.
Prior to this the car already had a Vararam cold air intake, 160* thermostat and drag radials/skinnies.
Best ET of the night was an 11.31@121mph on a 1.60 sixty foot. Best trap speed was 122mph.
Very happy with the workmanship and quality of the installs as well as the detailed tuning and of course with how well the car runs on the street and the track.
Also, a huge thanks to Phil ('98camaroLS1M6' on this board) and Mike for helping me out BIGTIME at the track last night...I somehow got a totally flat front tire in the lanes and their quick thinking/preparation helped me get the thing plugged, aired up and ready to run yet another new best pass without anyone in the lanes being blocked, delayed nor inconvenienced, thanks again guys.
Here's a pic of the slips (car# 364):

damn Marc that thing is quick/fast..I mean really 11.30's @ 121mph is just plain SICK !
there'a ALOT of H/C cars running around that cant claim those #'s, and your mod list is pretty basic.
Im not too familiar with the LS2/LS3 stuff or Corvette's..but what's it gonna take to get yo into the 10's...an underdrive pully and what else ?
Again nice ride you got there man

Anytime Marc! I'm glad to see your car running strong. Running 11.30s with a flat tire lol and trapping 121-122+mph is just sick. Better air, a 1.5x 60' would easily put you in the 11.20s. Time for a fast intake and retune

Yes, I'm a little shocked that I stepped it up as well but it's not totally out of character for me, I did do a very similar set of bolt ons (again with the expertise of Cartek and QTP) to the Z28 and pulled an 11.8 out of it. But I agree, with this particular car I really hadn't planned on following a similar path but those heads up 11.50 (no roll bar needed ) index classes kept calling my name.

It might take an underdrive pulley along with another piece of the puzzle, perhaps a FAST intake (which I have in a box sitting right next to me as I type this LOL), or gears, or an electric water pump, or even all of the above...or possibly even none of the above. I only say that because it was the very first time out with this combo and I almost NEVER see any car run it's absolute best the first time out with a new combo, though I don't truly believe that the car has a 10 in it without adding at least some more hard parts. My shift points might still need some fine tuning and I might have some slight false knock (exhaust clamp?) so the car should go at least a tiny bit quicker as it sits (in the same (or better) air of course). I actually was expecting a little bit quicker/faster on that last pass so we'll see how it goes.
