Default I tried to come back from the darkside today...

...I just couldn't.

Friend of mine owns a dealership and sent me a new SS to play with for the night. He was hoping that either me or my father would like it... No go, it's going back to the dealer tomorrow.

It really is a nice car, a huge improvement over the old f-bodies. But it just doesn't do anything for me in looks or performance. As boring as the Camaro's performance is, it really feels like it's begging for intake, exhaust, tune.

We took turns beating the crap out of all three cars. I've driven my car maybe 4-5 times this year so it was fun to get out and play a little.

That tractor has seen 100x more use than the cars this summer. I love that thing.

It's the M5700. We've had it for 3 years and maybe put 50 hours on it in the first two years. This summer we've put close to 150 hours on it just on nights/weekends.

I've seen your yard... what the hell do you need a tractor that size for? Kids must really be tearing it up with the sleds.

Hahahaha yeah yeah i know. I haven't seen you all summer. You'll have to check out the vette. I'm still get getting used to it but I'm really liking it.

By the sounds of it you haven't used the cobra that much. Has your father been using the GT500?

My cobra has been out of the garage once since the fourth of july. Tracy had my truck so I took the Cobra to the store... a round trip of 5 miles, besides that it hasn't left the garage since I brought it down there for the 4th.

My father has been running the wheels off the GT500. It has been to Myrtle Beach, Niagra falls, Skyline drive in Virginia... He's put more miles on that car in a shorter period of time than he has his last 5 cars combined. He says he doesn't racking up miles, because it's "just a ******* mustang". He doesn't even wash it, I have to pull it out of his garage and bring it to my house every coouple weeks to give it a quick detail because it looks like ****. You can't really see it in these pictures but it's a mess.

Tim, when Chevrolet makes the LS7 w/a blower available on the Camaro to compete w/the Cobra Jet Mustangs and Drag-Pak Challengers at the track, you WILL come back over to the Bow-Tie gang..... WJ

It's not really a fair comparison. For pure performance... My cobra. But all around I'm a huge fan of the GT500, it desperately needs a set of tires because right now traction is nonexistant. The camaro needs at minimum some bolt ons and a tune to wake it up a little, but even then I think it would still feel lathargic. I also hate the feel of the factory shifter in the Camaro, even though they did a great job with the suspension and brakes... the car still feels big. I thought the GT500 was a big heavy car... the camaro is worse.

The Camaro is a lot of car for the money... it's just not very exciting to drive.

The new Camaro is growing on me, but as of right now I'd take either of the other two in the pics first.

looks wise the new camaro smokes both the stangs. im sure performance and handling is a no go.
to me it makes me sick to see how much of a turd thos cars are. its too bad. my car 10 years ago stock went 13.4-13.5 and i had no idea how to drive. 10 years later and they go a tenth or 2 faster to compeat with 500 hp cars. its gross. i like the car but it needs 50-100 more ponys. i dont think i would take it over the cobra, id go for an 03 z06 again. lol

i agree with timmy and noyzee 100% car is just too big without enough HP. i dont like it much. i would much rather have a 4th gen (which i do ) or like u said noyzee a 03 z06 lol or even a 03-04 cobra like timmy or lou

hell my bolt on only LT1 has a full second on a new SS

you should come up to maine with Lou and if Brad wasn't a *****, we may go up in 2 weeks.. if I can ... new baby any day now
