That hood's the best looking one that's a reasonable price (joe van overbeek being mad expensive) you can get for a firebird. I have one sitting here, hopefully I'll have it mounted up soon.

Shoot me a PM with how you plan on mounting it... I've been looking for a set of camaro style rails for a while and have had no luck. If you're going to make something like that, I'd be willing to buy a 2nd set if you're willing to make them...

I'm doing something 100% custom. I'm making the front end removable as an assembly so I'll adapt dzus plates to what I create.

The Van O hood is nice.Had one with my Camaro.
Any chassis shop can make aluminum rails.

I was hoping, to find a set that will bolt up like the racecraft camaro ones so I could mount the hood myself.... but at this point it's going to end up getting done at a chassis guy while they have the car for other stuff.

4 inch one for a street car would be perfect. As long as you won't have any issues with inspection and having no wipers you should be good (or just keep the other hood for that rare occasion whatever suits your needs)

I like their "sloped" one a lot better. Follows the lines of the car a bit more. Look forward to seeing it all setup and painted.

I'd never give up a regular ws6 hood, but when you need the clearance and want to shave weight or go pin one, etc... this is a good option.
