Anyone near MCGuire AFB?

Pemberton, Browns Mill, Cookstown, New Egypt, Wrightstown, are all within distance of McGuire. I know Fort Dix has alot of new housing on the base but haven't been by McGuire since the roads were blocked off to the public from 9-11.

where are you coming from? like firehawk said, theres a bunch towns around that are good.

I'm stationed here at McGuire, just got here a few months ago. I live on base because off-base housing is too expensive and too far to commute each day.

I will be there starting next month. They are building a new hanger for us Navy guys. I will be making the hour drive to my house every day but the people that I know that live over there say base housing is very nice and the places off base are few and far between.
