But seriously, i want to get my bumper painted this weekend, but it looks like it might rain, so i can't take the bike everywhere. Is it illegal to drive without a front bumper? I remember my friend with a 3kgt did it for a while and i dont think he had any issues. Anyone do this?

technically yes, it would never pass inspection that way. but i dont think you would have an issue for a weekend esp. if you told whoever pulled you over the circumstances

Honest officer, I walked out of my house this morning and the front bumper was gone!!

I'm driving arond the area looking for it. Just for the heck of it take the tops off and make it look like a legit theft .

It's illegal in Mass also! I got pulled over for driving without a hood while mine was being redone. Didn't get a ticket though!

As for the front bumper you should be ok as long as your not going for an inspection sticker.
