I've got the timing cover off and am trying to line the gears up dot-to-dot, but am having no luck at all. I've spent a good 6 hours on this part alone and am completely ******* fed up. Who wants to come help for $30/hour?

Maybe it is just the quality of the picture, but I do not see a timing mark on the crank gear. Is the crank gear on backwards by chance?? If the gear is on right and you can see the different marks for 0, -4 & +4, it should be a pretty straight forward deal.

Update: Crazykid is taking care of it. Thanks!. I didn't know the LS2 was an interference motor, so I was turning the gears without unbolting the rockers, resulting in PTV contact, which were the bent valves mentioned. Either way, thanks, Kyle!
