I heard that we have a 1/8 mile track here in miami now, is this true? I know we have countyline.

 

The 1/8 mile track is there (Countyline Dragway on Krome and 27), but I've never heard of a 1/4 mile in Dade.

 

They are running 1/8th mile on fri nights right on pit road of Homestead racetrack. I was told they started doing it 2 weeks ago. I went this past friday and it was a good time. There is no-clock and its just off a flagger.

It was $20 to run your car, $10 to spectate.

 

Cool! I may have to check this out. It's pretty much street legal grudge racing... I like

why not to counyline? Myfriend went he said it's a waste of time!

 

We had an AWESOME time last night. Even without a tree the track is ten times better than Countyline. Better grip, way better lighting, no sand or dirt blowing onto the track. GREAT TIME!!

 

I've gone twice and was good both times, no there's no clock but you find your competition ask them to run then go out for fun.

I should join you guys soon at Homestead. I have yet to take this SS to the track and I wasnt really happy about going to Countyline to do my first few tries on it. If you say Homestead is better in those ways than Countyline then great! Sucks I usually work 3-11 fridays FTL though :-(... I have sick days :-X

 

The 1/8 mile at homestead gets better every week it is clean well oranized they were closed this past friday because of weather they are having a grand opening the 19th of june it is going to be a great time see you there the timing lights are coming soon, grudge racing is fun

 

The track will be open this Friday for test & tune again. Our club is going with about 15-20 cars. Hope to see some of you out there!
