It meant progress on the car, but no Holt.

Holt was fun last night, although now I know why everyone complains about the track being so slow. Weren't more than 30 cars staging and in 4+ hours I only got 4 runs in. Alot of sitting and watching nothing happen, oh well.
Ben yes the EVO was there, and crowds of people were around him
Fortunately for me I lined up against him twice. He must have been taking it easy or been on low boost or something b/c my 60' times were just about even with his. 
I think he only ran like a 7.9 against me. (Maybe he was being nice)
Anyways got some good practice with the DR's. They hook GOOD, too good infact. First three times I bogged the engine and got horrible times. 2000, 2500, and 3000 rpm launches and it still bogged. Last run I went all out and dropped the clutch at 4000. It hooked good and I got a 1.9 out of it, I believe the traction burned my clutch because on the 1-2 shift the pedal stuck to the floor, so my only good launch was ruined.
So with a stronger clutch and more practice hopefully I'll get some good times out of these tires. (And they aren't impossible in the rain either) Best times was a 8.8 @ 83, with two 8.9's and my last run was a 10.5 haha
Any time some people wanna head out there post up, I'll go whenever I'm free.
p.s that 450+ hp supra ran 9.5-10.5 al night

i just talked to david and he said he was up at holt friday..just wondering if you seen him....silver z28 with a green and purple stripe down the side he said he ran a 7.8 and he said the evo ran a 7.3.... just wondering if thats what he ran...

I saw that Camaro but it looked like a 6 cylinder and I didn't ever see it run. And yes Chris' Evo was doing some times like in that range. He was prolly going light on me. Although for a 600awhp+ car in the 1/8th mile I would have expected better times.

Sorry if this is a re-post, but I am in Pace. I work seven days on, seven days off in Louisiana. Anyway, hello to the LS-1 guys in P'Cola. Picture is in my Sig, and screen name says it all. Both vehicles capable of high 10's at the track, low 11's on the street. Maybe I can get together with you for a "LS-1 Tech Cruise" sometime.

Hey guys,
Sorry Raegan and I couldn't make it to the track. It looked like it was fun. We will start taking trips to Hattiesburg and maybe Montgomery for some 1/4 mile action. But not for the next few months. We got up at 5 on Sat. morning to get on the road for Hotlanta. Had a great weekend for those that would be interested next year. Lots of F-Bodies!!!
It will be nice to get a cruise going, but I will need to get the cars running first before I can join. I'm hoping to have the beast out of the garage with in the month! Then it's on!!!

Thomas, I didn't make it out to Bayfront or Belle's this weekend, spent all of friday night doing "car stuff" so Saturday night we had to do what the g/f wated to do. Glad to see more people are bringing out their cars.
2hotrods- That is a sick looking setup. I'd love to have a big engine in a tiny car, You should definately meet up with some people from here and gcfba.org
Ben, you need to hurry up that engine process, an 1/8th mile isn't nearly as exciting as a 1/4, and right now all my friends car's are broke so I have no one to go drag racing with.
A cruise would be great, someone just needs to set it up.

Ran a new PB at Holt Friday. 7.46 @ 89.8 mph. 1.57 60ft. Stock suspension and rearend(for now). Carried the front wheels about 6-8 inches off the ground for 15 feet. I was out there yesterday running the 7.50 class and I didn't spray it in third (trying to qualify) and ran a 7.47. It probably would have went a 7.41-42 if I sprayed 3rd. I also went in the 7's for the first time on just the motor. 7.97 @ 84.9.

Oh and that Black EVO best run was a 7.3 @ 97MPH. he wasn't taking it easy either its just the way that car is. On all the videos of him the other car almost always jumps out on him first and then he just blows by them. I tried to set up a race for 50 bucks but he wouldn't do it. he wanted to take it to the highway where I know I wouldn't have chance.

I had the black T/A that was at Holt Friday night. I had trouble launching the car on DR's so I didn't do too well, on my last run my clutch stuck to the floor. My friend that was watching said smoke came off my car on my 1-2 shift so we think I have a leak in my lines somewhere that is spraying on my exhaust when I shift. I'll have to figure out whats wrong before I got back out.
Hopefully if I get my 60 foot times down to a 1.7-1.8 I should be around the 8.5 range, I hope. When I bogged the engine and pulle a 2.11 I ran a 8.8 so she's got more in her.
BTW great times, you must be a hell of a driver.
