Well I figured I'd give everyone an update. Car is torn apart, everything is out, I'm swapping the cam tonight, and my replacment parts should be here tuesday for the re-assembly stage. Things are going pretty smoothly, pulley was pain to get off.

Ben, if you're going to be home tonight, I need to come by sometime to pick up those springs. I'll call you later if I'm coming by.

Also, if anyone here owns a proper spring compressor, or knows someone that does, please let me know, I desperately need one and will happily drive to come pick it up, the crap from autozone is ridiculous, and I'd rather not wait 4-5 days to buy one and have it shipped. Thanks!

you know the outside door handle when you use it, it pushes the lever in side the door down. the lever came off the "thing" attached to the door handle i think the plastic bushing came off or broke off. i can see it but dont know how to get in there and fix it??? !!!SUCKS!!!

on another note. how much would i need to shave off of the 5.3 truck heads to make the CR about 10.5 : 1 or could i use a gasket, and also is 200 a good price for them?

Hey audiotwin, where on Kingsfield do you live? I live a block away from Kingsfield and 1BDHWK lives about 5 blocks from me. Did you go to high school in Pensacola?

Also what is done to your Z06? After I get my car tuned I'm hoping I'll be on par with a well-driven Z06 The names Luke and welcome!

Pulled an all-nighter and got everything done and started her up this morning. She ran fine. Idled fine, with oil pressure at about 40 psi. Definately need's John's special touch though. John I sent you an email.

One thing: when it first started, oil pressure was at 45 psi and stayed steady, after about 5 minutes of driving it would drop to around 35 psi while I was crusing and 25 at idle. This seems a little low, I'm gonna keep my eye on it, my guess is I pinched that stupid o-ring, which would suck

If I can get John to tune her real soon and I get my oil pressure figured out I'd be up for car showing it Saturday night. I haven't been to one in a few months.

98birdls1, i live on clear creek dr. i went to school in breeze, so i doubt any of you guys would know me. if anyone ever has a get together to hang out and talk cars, let me know, i would love to hang out. and as for what is done to the Z, she is still stock, all the way down to the filter. i leave for law school soon and i need a car that is reliable. when i get back from school in a few years its gonna be a monster. looking at the lingenfelter head/cam package or the twin turbo if i can afford it. talk to you guys soon!

Alright guys I'm desperate here. John tuned my car last night and it ran great, then something bad happened. Here is the post in the tuning section.

Once it stops raining I can see if I can figure out whats wrong. I'm going to check the wires near the headers, then move to the #2 plug/wire, then the passenger 02 sensor. After that I'll have to taking my car back apart to see if I messed something up during my cam install. I have to fix the o-ring anyways.

I'm hoping it was a bad plug misfiring that caused all the codes to throw and the bad shuddering. Ben, the cam felt and sounded GREAT on the drive home.

ok my gears are coming and im looking for some help they are 3.42's to change out the 2.73's i got back there. i got shims for them. im hopeing someone(BEN) can help me out with putting them in. i will pay and provide food and refreshments to anyone that can help or that just wants to watch-andrew
