One thing I noticed.... are you using the ATI supplied f-body stock plastic air inlet on the blower??

We've seen two psi gain with a better/bigger air inlet

Yes, I also ran the stock air inlet on my old car that ran 8.90s @ 153mph with an F1A and it ran no different with or without it. I use a big air filter on it, I have seen some improvements on the dyno without it but it never made any difference on the track..

I posted the first time out videos a while back, it ran 6.29 @ 111 first time out not really pushing it:

I'm going to take it out again today and see what happens I think, its a nice day..

I'm probably going to London, not 100% sure yet.

Thats on 50/50 93 pump/104 sunoco unleaded, thats all I had. I have some unleaded VP109 this time so I'll step it up a little.

it was around 13-14psi, the MAP sensor in the logger was kind of screwy, I'll have a better idea this time. Timing was was 14* degrees at peak and 22 @ 4500rpm, so it was a really soft tune. It all depends on how well it 60 foots really, these tires I have on it are pretty old DOT QTPs, I'll run them one more time and switch to slicks, I'm just going today to collect some data and enjoy the weather..

Any thoughts that a good air intake pipe /w large filter would have seen the gains at the track that you saw on the dyno versus running it open at the track.

We've seen pretty noticeable gains with a upgraded inlet.

I dont know, I tried it open and with an inlet I made that 'looked' better than the procharger piece with the same results - no gain. I had a car that ran with .01 every pass and it was easy to see a gain and easy enough to do at the track, trust me if I could have ran .05 quicker in the 1/4 mile i would leave it open or use the better inlet I made.

Did a little better yesterday, power is where I want it (112-113 in the 1/8) so know its time to work on the horrible 60 foots a little. Car isnt hooking at all, 1.410 was the best yesterday, should be in the low 1.3x range.

http://videos.streetfire.net/video/L...909_647263.htm

last pass was a 6.22 @ 112.5 and they didnt switch the timers to 1/8 mile so I coasted through at a 10.08, If I knew I would have stayed in it a longer and got a 9 second pass..

I am running a Y-pipe into a single 3" muffler and thats not the best exhaust out there. I'm pretty happy overall, just need to get the 60 foots down some, have to spend some time on the suspension and put some new tires on it..

Looks like you were on the brakes and you could hear you let out of it. Easily a 9 second pass, just how deep into the 9's is the question.

6.22 is a 9.7x, when I get the 60 foot where it should be it will run 9.50-9.60. Thats right where I wanted it, car is fun to drive, zero hassle, bulletproof drivetrain plus it looks good. Cant ask for more than that I guess..

Thanks Kris, hope to see you around this year. Seen some nice pics of you car someone took on SCF, looks great.

Here is a few '100% done' underhood shots. First time out to the track the belt came off on one pass so I put a Katech tensioner on it and that stopped that 100%. Also added the lingenfelter 2 step, another great product, plug it in and hook up one wire to the trans brake and it works - cant beat that.

It was nice to take the radiator cap off this morning and see the coolant all the way to the top and not smelling like exhaust, if I can keep myself under control hopefully it will stay like that for a while. Going to put some new tires on it next week and that should help more than anything right now..

Its not hooking well, it should be well in the 1.3s 60 foor range, but that will take a little tweaking and some new tires. I havent even toucked anything, was mainly getting the a/f right and getting used to driving again.

Not sure what you mean by 'hot piped' though, if you mean no intercooler there is an eBay A2A on the front.

It turned out nice, could have done it a little quicker but I'm glad I took my time and did things the way I wanted to do them. I'm like most people and just want to get it done once I start on it

Hey kevin, you can take that black piece off of the valve cover and screw the breather filter right in there. Makes for a much cleaner look.

Everything looks great! Just curious though, how did you route that feed through the wheel well?

You build some slick rides Kevin. Are you going to Pinks/Charlotte?
