If I get a procharger my car will overheat?
Been doing some research and alot of people are having this problem. I'm intrested in a procharger. Is it a crap shoot as to whether or not my car will have this problem? Exactly how common is this?

And the #1 reason engines overheat when the A/C gets turned on is a dirty condensor. Look at what I found in mine today when I cleaned it. Keep it clean and the heat will get carried away like its supposed to. If you're overheating, there's something wrong with your cooling system. Unless of course you have a 598 BBC with a blower lol

I couldn't tell ya.. would definitely invest $60 into a manual fan control switch though.. that and a low temp thermostat shouldn't be too bad.. and even if you have to add a couple fans.. its not that expensive.. Don't go cheap in one area and assume the supercharged will be stock friendly.. Forced induction always has its positives and negatives

If your cooling system is working properly I don't see why you will overheat. But you can put a pusher fan in front of your condensor to get that heat away from it when the A/C is on. Thats what overheats engines in city traffic. You should have no trouble at all while cruising on the hwy with A/C on though.

So now I do it every 2 years or so. The pictures I took above are from yesterday, I noticed at the end of this summer that I was running hotter and hotter with my A/C on. Thats just under 2 years of driving worth of crud.

There are thousands of ProCharger equipped f bodys out there that don't overheat. If you do have a problem or are concerned that your new project may encounter a problem, a larger aftermarket radiator will make a huge difference. The Ron Davis radiator that we sell http://www.exoticperformanceplus.com...html?item=1228 makes a huge difference. You might just find when you are replacing your factory radiator that the end tanks have a lot of hair line cracks in them. As these cars are getting some age on them, we are seeing this problem quite often. If you look closely, you can see vertical hairline cracks in the end tanks on the radiator shown below. Bob
