Unforged engines are north of 800 rwhp.. so I think you will be fine.

Stock L76 short block, LS9 gaskets, head studs, cam/springs, pump gas and meth. Been beating the **** out of it for 15 months between 16-18psi. 4800lbs, went 133mph in the 1/4 on the street a couple week ago from hp tuners scan data. Good for 136-137 at the track with some tires and a ballsy driver.

Stock LS1 4 door Commodore VT SS with custom STS rear mount 6275 T4 0.81AR

Made 550hp at engine/450rwhp on 5lb spring (peaked at 6.5psi) through 4L60E and 2800stall converter. Got 26mpg best on highway (31mpg imperial) and lasted 12,500 miles trouble free before decided to go to a 2013 LS3 swap.

Problems after tear down at 12,500miles:
1 - LS1 was down 25lb on 1 cylinder due to either detonation or water damage (water injection system leaked into intake.

2 - STS ball bearing turbo blowing smoke, so not impressed with their durability.

New LS3 in same car:

One basemap (no timing put in) the new LS3 made 522rwhp on STS turbo at 8lb before leaning out (running out of pump) so shut down. Since added a 2nd Bosch 044 pump but now the turbo blows oil intermittently so have yet to tune it fully with new Aquamist water/meth system and decent timing.

Now not sure whether to fix the poor durability STS turbo or get a new better turbo for the LS3 like a Comp Turbo billet CT43 6275 .81AR or a Garrett equivalent.

Problems after tear down at 12,500miles on LS1:
1 - LS1 was down 25lb on #3 cylinder due to either detonation or water damage (water injection system leaked into intake a few times turning it into a steam engine until it cleared itself). Engine still ran perfect though.

2 - Upgraded STS ball bearing turbo now blowing smoke intermittently, so not impressed with their durability.

Want great torque from 2500rpm and around 560rwhp in daily drive mode at less than 10lb boost.

Ran all season about 100 slips, 1500 street miles. 160k OEM short block. Had 2 bunk pistons and I threw two random piston rod assys in. All OEM fasteners on rods, mains, etc. Also re angle torqued them all to OEM specs. Used original bearings and all. I did gap the original rings for boost. .025 on the top and .030 btm

Best of 9.04 @ 151 at 24psi. 15* of timing on E85.

Going by weight/trap speed that's 812 whp. 900+ at the crank?
